H.E.L.P. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance for shelter animals. is dedicated to saving sick, injured and elderly L.A.

City shelter animals - those that remain behind in their cages while others find homes, those with little chance of rescue or adoption. We assist those who choose to adopt these pets in need, knowing that there are medical challenges, by paying an agreed upon percentage of the veterinary costs necessary to care for their new family members. In cases where there is no other option and the dog or ca

t would be euthanized at the shelter, H.E.L.P. rescues the animal and arranges for medical treatment and foster care. We also have an intervention/outreach program which offers guidance and services to the public when they have nowhere else to turn.

How adorable is Ollie! Ollie is truly one of the kindest lil’ gents we have ever met. Ollie is super quiet and as expected of an 18-year old grandpa he sleeps a lot; he could teach a master class in napping. Ollie weighs 8-lbs and requires a kidney diet and supplement, but other than that he’s in good health. He has so much personality, and we adore him! 💕

Our dear little Francie went for her dental and in an abundance of caution we did pre-anesthetic bloodwork since her previous panel showed elevated kidney levels. Unfortunately her kidney levels have increased significantly and we did not feel it was safe to put her under anesthesia. Instead we hospitalized Francie for the day and she received IV fluids. Our vet has recommended that Francie receive subq fluids at home on a daily basis for now, as well as a kidney diet (JFFD) and supplements. Francie is one of the sweetest and most endearing girls ever. She is truly special.

Happy Wednesday from Milky Way. If you’re looking for a senior who is easygoing and easy to love, look no further than Milky Way. This dapper little dude is one of the easiest dogs ever. He’s quiet and good-natured, and gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. His vision is limited but he gets around fine and enjoys leisurely walks and sunbathing. He also loves to nap and is quite the foodie. Milky Way is house-trained, rides nicely in the car and is definitely best friend material. 💕 And did we mention he’s super easy?

Pattycakes is so special! She wants nothing more than to get lots of love and affection. She loves going on exploratory walks (despite her blindness she gets around great) and visits to the park. Pattycakes has a gentle and sweet demeanor, and she gets along with everyone she meets, both two-legged and four-legged. She’s a treasure and we adore her. 🩷

Happy Monday from Chi Chi! Chi Chi is a lovely senior sweetheart who doesn’t see or hear well, but she will surely find her way into your heart. She’s super mellow but has cute little spurts of playful energy. Two of her most favorite things are snuggling and sunbathing, and she enjoys going on life’s little adventures with you. She loves to be pet and will instantly flop over for belly rubs, with her tail wagging a mile a minute. Chi Chi gets along with both cats and dogs, and will make a wonderful little bestie. 🐾

Our lovely Pattycakes had her staples removed today and she has recovered beautifully from surgery to remove her mammary masses. The pathology came back benign (yay!) and Pattycakes is ready to find her happily ever after. She loves going on walks (despite her blindness she gets around great) and visits to the park. Pattycakes has a gentle and sweet demeanor, and gets along with everyone she meets, both two-legged and four-legged. She’s a treasure and we adore her. 🩷

Happy Monday from this little beauty! Abigail is a gem, she’s pure sweetness and a world class lap dog. She loves kisses and cuddles and can snuggle for days. Abby enjoys walks and riding in the car and being anywhere you are. She is also fine being alone. Abby gets along with other dogs and children but what she likes most of all is being snuggled up next to you. 💕
