H.E.L.P. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization providing financial assistance for shelter animals. is dedicated to saving sick, injured and elderly L.A.

City shelter animals - those that remain behind in their cages while others find homes, those with little chance of rescue or adoption. We assist those who choose to adopt these pets in need, knowing that there are medical challenges, by paying an agreed upon percentage of the veterinary costs necessary to care for their new family members. In cases where there is no other option and the dog or ca

t would be euthanized at the shelter, H.E.L.P. rescues the animal and arranges for medical treatment and foster care. We also have an intervention/outreach program which offers guidance and services to the public when they have nowhere else to turn.

🩷 Miss Pattycakes! 🩷 This darling girl wants nothing more than to bask in your love and affection. She enjoys going on exploratory walks (despite her blindness she gets around fine) and visits to the park. Pattycakes has a gentle and loving demeanor, and she gets along with everyone she meets, both two-legged and four-legged. Pattycakes is currently on a specialkidney diet and supplements. She’s a treasure beyond measure and we adore her. 🩷

We are excited to share that our darling Pom Pom has been adopted by her foster family! We rescued Pom Pom from Harbor Shelter where she had been surrendered in rough shape due to untreated diabetes. She is now so loved and spoiled, and she will be cherished for the rest of her days. And yes, we saw this one coming from a mile away! Happy Life, Pom Pom! Adopt a Senior, Adopt Love! ❤️

💕 Buffy is the sweetest little senior, and she still needs a FOSTER! Buffy has such a fun and engaging personality and is pure Joy. Buffy is housetrained, crate-trained, food motivated and rides nicely in the car. She has been fully vetted including a dental. Buffy does not like to be alone and might bark, so someone who is home a lot would be ideal. If you’re looking for a girl who will always make you smile, Buffy’s your gal!

Princess is a darling 17-year old granny weighing only 10-lbs., and she is such a gentle soul. She loves to be held and can snuggle for days. Princess is vision impaired, and is a little weak in her rear legs, though she is getting stronger every day and enjoys going for short walks. She’s quiet and sweet, and will make a lovely companion and confidant. 💕

💕 Everybody loves Chi Chi! This little granny is the sweetest, chillest dog you will ever meet. She doesn’t see or hear well, but she will quickly find her way into your heart. She’s super mellow but on occasion has cute little spurts of playful energy. Two of her favorite things are snuggling and sunbathing, and she enjoys going on life’s little adventures with you. She loves to be pet and will instantly flop over for belly rubs. Chi Chi gets along great with kids and dogs (she likes cats but is allergic to them), and she will make a wonderful little bestie. 🐾

$5 Friday! Our bonded pair Sweet Pea and Bear got their senior wellness exams this week. Bear’s lab work was good, Sweet Pea’s not so much. Sweet Pea has elevated liver values and bacteria in her urine. We will be starting her on supplements and doing a liver panel. We will also be doing a urine culture. In addition, both dogs need a dental.

We welcomed Sweet Pea and Bear into our rescue when their owner suddenly passed away to keep them from going to the shelter. They are super chill and well-behaved.

We are also still looking for a foster for Sweet Pea and Bear. They are house-trained and sooo sweet.
