🐾✨ More than just a tasty treat, a LickiMat can be a valuable tool both at home and during veterinary visits!

At home, LickiMats provide mental enrichment, encourage slower eating, help reduce boredom, and can create a calming distraction during grooming, nail trims, or bath time.

🐶☀️ Summer Safety Reminder for Brachycephalic Dogs ☀️🐶

Brachycephalic dogs are breeds with short noses and "pushed-in" faces, including Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, Boxers, French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, and more.

Because of their unique facial structure, these sweet pups are more prone to:
🐾 Loud or noisy breathing
🐾 Breathing difficulties
🐾 Overheating
🐾 Eye problems
🐾 Heatstroke

As temperatures rise, these dogs can overheat much faster than other breeds. Even a short walk or time spent outside in the heat can become dangerous.

💙 Help keep them safe by:
✔️ Walking them during the cooler morning or evening hours.
✔️ Providing plenty of fresh, cool water.
✔️ Keeping them in air-conditioned or shaded areas.
✔️ Avoiding strenuous exercise in hot or humid weather.
✔️ Never leaving them in a parked vehicle.

🚨 If your dog is excessively panting, struggling to breathe, drooling heavily, seems weak, or collapses, seek veterinary care immediately. Heatstroke is a medical emergency.

Has your pet been stung by a bee?

Is your pet's face swollen, and you're not sure why? There is a strong possibility that your pet either tried to eat a bee or was stung in the face.

A bee sting can be a serious medical emergency. If you suspect your dog has been stung by a bee, seek immediate veterinary care, especially if they were stung in the mouth or throat, have difficulty breathing, or may be having an allergic reaction.

Signs of a severe reaction include:

Rapid swelling of the face or muzzle
Difficulty breathing
Vomiting or diarrhea
General weakness or collapse
Prompt veterinary treatment can be lifesaving.
