Giving Tuesday may be today, but the celebration continues this week!

At The Rescued Pup, we believe in the give-and-take of energy — that when our community pours love and compassion into this rescue, that energy flows right back to the dogs who need it most.

That belief inspired the crystal bracelets I’ve been hand-making and charging with positive energy. Each bracelet carries intention, love, and a little bit of magic — and now it’s your turn to choose one.

✨ Anyone who has donated $50+ through our Givebutter link (in bio) within the last week can choose a bracelet as a thank-you gift. https://givebutter.com/TheRescuedPup

And this Saturday, you’ll get to see them all:

This is one of the most meaningful fundraisers we’ve ever done — and I can’t wait to share it with you on Saturday.

Let’s count this as Day 7s Gratitude Post 💕 When we receive updates like this, it makes it all worthwhile. 💕
Hi there. Thought I’d send a quick update on Maisie as we are almost to the 3 month adoption anniversary. Her coat has filled back in and it’s so soft ; potty training is a success and she hits the p*e pad if the patio door is closed. She LOVES joining in the daily neighborhood good morning bark-fest; she love walks, riding in the car, and nightly “tv-watching” snuggles. I am very grateful for her coming into my life which is all because of you. Thank you for your work in rescue.

Almost missed my Gratitude post - Today I am thankful for hope. Having a dog rescue is challenging and over the years there have been times when I’ve been completely burned out with no hope. But here we are, I’m currently working to get our home ready to sell (picture of the beast of a fireplace that needs to be updated below)- with a ton of projects, rescue dogs that need to find homes, funds that need to be raised for medical needs, a rescue shop that needs to be promoted and worked, a dog training business that’s booming, my own pets that are needing vet care, the list goes on…but I still have hope and I know that everything will work out like it’s supposed to. I am truly grateful to be in a place in my life where utter chaos in every aspect of my life isn’t knocking me down. 🙏

Day 5 👏🏻👏🏻 Today my 🩷 🐴 and his friends/family is what I’m grateful for. Cedar was my first horse, I started late after moving to Ramona in 2010. He’s been my best friend, my guardian, my ride or die, and my steady hand and head when I was terrified. We’ve done the holiday caroling trail ride through the Acres (dressed up with bells on), most of the trails in Ramona, SDCE, Julian, Escondido, Sycamore Canyon ( and the single track while the helicopter was delivering a person to one of the giant metal things). And we were volunteer patrol for Parks and Recs for a few years. One of our first rides was a cowboy ride in the middle of nowhere. We camped and rode with a ton of people we didn’t know. He was such a champ- I was terrified! So today my gratitude goes to the universe and my friends: Lars - for telling me about Curly horses and how awesome they are; to Julie for being my riding partner M-F for so many years; to all of my horse-y friends that put up with my new riding questions and undoubtedly annoying behavior; and to everyone that was patient with me as I learned. It’s such a good reminder that it’s the first time around in this life and I hope that we all get the Grace from people that I’ve received over the years. 🙏

Today is Day 4 of my Gratitude Journal - and it’s a doozy!!! At 6:45am these little nuggets - Johnny B Good ( available for adoption) and Meg (our chihuahua breed ambassador) were on the back patio enjoying the morning. Ben was also out there but in a different section. I had run to get something for their breakfast and my husband heard what sounded like the fence around the patio being messed with. He looked outside and not one - but TWO coyotes were working to get to our dogs! He scared them away, they went to our cattery- but that’s secure so no luck there either.

I’m so thankful that Ben had a leash on today and accidentally got wrapped around an inanimate object so that he couldn’t go bark at the fence, and I’m thankful Johnny and Meg knew better than to challenge them at their section of fence. I’m so thankful the dogs are ok!
