Hi, I’m Jillian 👋🐾
Owner of The Social Pup Raleigh, dog trainer, professional hype woman for your dog, and Benny’s full-time assistant (he takes his role very seriously 🍻).
I created The Social Pup because I saw a gap in the dog world. A lot of owners want to include their dogs in everyday life… brewery patios, coffee shops, restaurants, vacations, walks with friends… but felt overwhelmed by training advice that was either unrealistic, overly rigid, or full of judgment.
That’s not what we do here.
My approach is practical, honest, and rooted in real life. We meet dogs and their humans where they’re at.
No shame if your dog gets distracted.
No side-eye if things aren’t perfect.
No expectation that your dog needs to be “the easiest dog in the room” on day one.
We build skills step by step so both ends of the leash feel more confident.
Through programs like Drink With Your Dog® Brewery Manners, we focus on helping dogs learn how to calmly exist in public spaces while helping owners feel empowered enough to actually enjoy bringing them along 🍻✨
And Benny? He’s the personality behind our logo, frequent demo dog, and occasional comic relief.
