THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG .

There are Service Dogs who learn skills and use their instincts to perform tasks that help humans. But there is no such thing as an "Emotional Support Dog". That's something we made up. Asking a dog to take on your physical, nervous's and emotional anxieties is inappropriate unfair and even inhumane. Dogs were not designed for this, and it will cause them stress.

The way our dogs DO provide emotional support is indirect and comes from taking on the responsibility to care for something outside ourselves is how we can support our emotions through our dogs.

We're asking our dogs to live unnaturally, in a human world - We need to support them emotionally and physically, not the other way around.

YOUR DOG DOESN'T LIVE IN A FAMILY -- YOUR DOG LIVES IN A PACK. IT'S YOUR JOB TO HONOR THAT, ORGANIZE IT AND LEAD IT.

THERE IS NO BREED OF DOG THAT MAKES A GOOD "PET". THEY ARE WORKING COMPANIONS, PARTNERS, AND PACK MEMBERS.

Saturdays, April 26 - May 31, 2025 (No workshop Memorial Weekend)
10am - 6pm, Includes Lunch Catered by Ish Deli, assigned homework and a workbook.

Five weeks, 40 classroom hours, indoors and outdoors.
Foster Dogs will be used for demonstration and you will be assigned homework
with your personal dogs between workshops.

we all want to be able to trust our dogs in all circumstances, but have you asked yourself if your dog can trust you?

1. You can trust me to honor your "dog-ness" and not expect you to fulfill the role of another human being.

2. You can trust me to understand that you are not primarily verbal-oriented and that I will do my best to learn and communicate in your language -- physically and energetically.

3. I will fulfill your needs for activity and engagement as well as provide structure and safety.

4. I will advocate for you and help you navigate in all situations, even at the expense of my own convenience or enjoyment.

Training philosophy, techniques and methods based on dog psychology and language. DON’T BRING YOUR DOG. WE’LL BE WORKING WITH FOSTER DOGS FOR DEMONSTRATION. (You’ll work with your dog as homework between each session).

This progressive educational workshop series will be focused on understanding dog psychology and language as it applies to training, mindset and building a bonded and trusting relationship with your dog and/or between multiple dogs.

You won’t bring your dog to the workshops. There will be 2-3 foster dogs in attendance each week used for demonstration of tools, techniques and communication as applied and customized for different ages and drives, and personality types.

It will include presentation and discussion, indoor and outdoor work with dogs, sharing homework -- and lunch!

Each day will finish with Q & A.

There will be assigned homework to use with your personal dogs at home between classes.
