Please join us in welcoming our newest K9 team to the Apex Police Department!

Officer LaFemina and his K9 partner, Jett, graduated from K9 school on May 15 and successfully completed certification on May 19. The team officially began patrol operations on May 20.

Jett is a dual-purpose police K9 trained and certified in:

🐕 Narcotics Detection
🐾 Tracking
🚔 Apprehension

The addition of Officer LaFemina and Jett strengthens our department’s ability to serve and protect the Apex community. Whether assisting with investigations, locating suspects, or supporting public safety operations, this team is ready to make a difference.

Congratulations to Officer LaFemina and Jett on this outstanding achievement. We are excited to have them on the road and serving our residents!

I trained him as a puppy.
Some things never change.
He never completes a game of fetch.
He loves butt rubs while going between your legs.
Also is probably the happiest dog I know.

Cornerstone K9 is close to wrapping up a 16 week handler course for Police Department. We can’t wait to hear about the great things K9 JETT will do for his community!
