The goats gave me a run for my money this week. It’s a good thing they’re so adorable, cute & lovable. Never a dull moment.
Come hang out with us and hear about their shenanigans. Hugging a goat helps you AND them. And some if our special needs goats like Silvie, Blessing & Squeakers need just a little extra love.
We are a nonprofit farm animal sanctuary, primarily goats, and they depend on our visitors, donors & volunteers to help meet their needs. Squeakers’ vet bill was nearly $300 last week. The feed bill for goats, chickens, ducks & dove, alpaca &donkey, and the livestock guard dogs is about $800 per month (yes, we have special needs chickens, ducks & a dove, too). The electricity, water & wifi at the barn is about $250 per month. These are just the basic necessities for these sweet animals.
The weather this summer has been a bit difficult, either scorching or raining on many of the Sundays. BUT we have conquered BOTH of these challenges with the ample overhead coverage the barn provides and donated fans to help keep the humans AND the animals cool. So there’s really no reason not to come on down, bring your family, bring a friend, and help a goat in need. You are guaranteed to leave with a happy heart.
