Our Methods

Fresh Canine uses a balanced approach to training a dog. During the learning phase, we use positive reinforcement, shaping, and luring- performing several hundred repetitions of each command and exercise. After each dog learns the commands, we transition to phasing out the rewards, making the response to obedience reliable. Once a dog has mastered the commands, we proof and generalize the behavior by working under distractions.

Welcome King! Our newest Board & Train that checked in over the weekend. King is a 6 month old Bernadoodle here for the 3 week B&T. A little anxious and not very food motivated. He’s settling in and already improving. Can’t wait to see his confidence and progress!

Happy 1st Birthday Louie! 🥳
Even if your big sister tries to steal the show! Louie is a 1 year old Golden Reriever adopted from our friends at . We were so thankful to help with Birdie’s training from a pup that when they were ready to add to the family we were there to help. We are so thankful for this wonderful two golden family. ❤️

So excited to see these pups continue to grow and improve their skills. Our next group classes start next week!
**We SOLD OUT our 6 pm Monday night Basic Obedience so I opened a second Basic Obedience Class Mondays at 7 pm! Only 3 spots left!

Hello to our October Board & Trains.
~
18 month old Ollie. A Catahoula mix with some pretty serious on leash reactivity. He’s had a weekend to get comfy and he’s an awesome guy.
~
4 month old Cavapoo Marty checked in today. He’s already got quiet a bit more comfy but the world is very new to him. He’s hasn’t had much exposure outside of his home. We will be working on all the foundations as well building his confidence!

Just a reminder our facility is Cool Springs is a day time only facility. Our Board and Trains, and any prior training dogs boarding with us travel home with us in the evenings and spend the weekends in our home.

Foster dog Scout visited our friends at yesterday. Check them out! Friendly well behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
