Pratt Area Humane Society PAHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of stray and homeless pets. "Saving Lives one adoption at a time.." We take all kinds of donations.

Pratt Area Humane Society is a 501(c) non-profit organization. We strive to help pets find their furever homes! We are always looking for volunteers and fosters (call or Facebook message the shelter for more information.) We do have an Amazon wishlist and General wishlist, that is updated often. Remember no donation is too small! We are a fairly small shelter looking to make a huge impact on Pratt

county! We have lots of great animals for adoption. Come out, fill out an application and meet the newest addition to your family! Our Hours:
Closed: Saturday, Sunday and Thursday. Operation hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 10:30am-12:30pm, 2:30pm-5:30pm

KITTEN SEASON PSA: If you find kittens outside, you may have the urge to scoop them up and bring them to the shelter, but it most cases, this is not what’s best for the kittens. Staying with mom is a kitten’s very best chance of survival, and they should only be moved if they are sick, injured, or you’re sure they’ve been orphaned.

How can you tell if kittens need help? Follow this guide to help determine if kittens are being cared for by their mother or if they require assistance.

PAHS needs your help!!! PLEASE. This dog was picked up on hywy 61 near the pratt/reno co. line. The person that picked him up brought him to us and we immediately had her take him to the vet, where he still is. He is resting. He has some wounds and we don't know what happened to him but he looks like he has been on his own for a bit. However, his actual body condition is pretty good. (that means his weight, and overall structure. He also jumped right into the back of her truck with no hesitation. Male. No collar, no chip. I don't know if he is neutered.

Our fear is that he fell off of someone truck, or it is very possible given the location, that he was a tornado victim. He could have been terrified and took off and maybe, hopefully his family is looking for him or god forbid, they think he didn't make it. Please share and ask anyone you know to share his pictures/post. We will take him in after he rests at the vet for a day or so. Thankfully we have a dog leaving tomorrow for adoption and that will free up a run for this dog. Circle of life, right? Thank You so much!!

Introducing Missy! This sweet girl is around 3 months old and maybe an Australian Shepherd mix? She is about 10lbs and sweet as can be! She loves being held and watching the rest of the puppies play. She would be fine as an only dog or with other dogs. Missy is working on potty training and food motivated so shouldn’t be too hard to train! Missy is ready to find her forever home!
