🗣️ We need your help! 🐾💜
We’re excited to share an important step forward for veterinary hospice and palliative care.
The AVMA American Board of Veterinary Specialties (ABVS) is currently seeking public comment on the recognition of the American College of Veterinary Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ACVHPM) as an official veterinary specialty organization.
This field focuses on comfort care, quality of life, pain management, and compassionate end-of-life support for pets and their families — an area Dr. Freed is deeply passionate about and dedicated to every day through her work with senior pets and hospice care.
For Dr. Freed, this is more than just veterinary medicine — it is truly her life’s calling. 💜 She would deeply appreciate your support as this specialty works toward official recognition.
Recognition of this specialty would help further advance education, standards of care, and support for families navigating difficult decisions with their beloved pets.
If you believe in the importance of compassionate end-of-life care for pets, we encourage you to take a moment to share your support through the public comment process. 💜
The comment deadline is August 13, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Click on the post below and follow the prompts to submit yours.
THANK YOU! ❤️🐾🐱🐶
