PetConnect Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to placing abandoned dogs and cats in loving homes.

PetConnect fosters animals from these high kill shelters until they can be placed with a permanent family. All of our animals are spayed and neutered at an appropriate age and receive full medical care. The placement process is a critical component of our mission as the personalities of both the animals and the adopters are carefully considered. At PetConnect Rescue, we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

EXCITING NEWS! 🌞 You're now aware of Tina's existence, and you're in love!
Sweet Tina’s smile says it all! This 2-year-old dachshund/basset mix knows she got a second chance. Not long ago, Tina found herself scared and alone in an overcrowded rural shelter in North Carolina, wondering why no one was coming back for her. But PetConnect Rescue stepped in just in time, and now she’s safe and ready to find her loving home!

At about 35 pounds of low-rider cuteness (check out those white booties and turned-out paws!), Tina is the best of both worlds. She's playful and confident, but also a world-class cuddler who’ll melt right into your fluffy bed. She adores people, has great house manners, and would love a doggie buddy but is just as content soaking up all your love herself.

Tina’s dream? A cozy home, a full belly, and a best friend to share her sunny days and snuggly nights. Could that be you? 🧡

BIG. GREMLIN. ENERGY. Gremlin is 15 pounds of pure terrier chaos in the best way possible. With his signature underbite, stunning brindle coat, and an attitude that says, “Why walk when you can sprint in circles?” — this 2-year-old is here to spice up your life.

Gremlin’s hobbies include:
✔️ Wrestling his dog friends (lovingly)
✔️ Inspecting every blade of grass in the yard
✔️ Perfecting the art of the underbite selfie

Who needs dessert when you have Snickerdoodle to sweeten your life? 🍪✨

This adorable 4-year-old, 19-pound scruffy Maltese mix was found as a stray in Prince George’s County. With the shelter over capacity and sweltering in a heat wave, Snickers’ future looked uncertain until a kind foster stepped up! We just had to work to save this sweetheart too!

This lovable Cattle Dog mix is one year old, 28 pounds of wiggles, and has a heart as big as his name! ⛰️

He’s all about adventure, loyalty, and leaning in for a hug any chance he gets. Mountain bonds deeply with his people and wants to be part of whatever you’re doing—whether that’s a hike in the woods, a nap on the couch, or a Zoom call where he’s the star of the meeting.
