PetConnect Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to placing abandoned dogs and cats in loving homes.

PetConnect fosters animals from these high kill shelters until they can be placed with a permanent family. All of our animals are spayed and neutered at an appropriate age and receive full medical care. The placement process is a critical component of our mission as the personalities of both the animals and the adopters are carefully considered. At PetConnect Rescue, we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

💜 At PetConnect, we don’t give up—we find the right fit for the pit.

Tater Tot, a sweet pittie mix, spent a long time in our care. She needed structure, training, and consistency to truly thrive—and we were committed to giving her the time, resources, and love she deserved. Even though she was often overlooked simply because of her breed, we knew her perfect person was out there.

And then came Angi. 🥰

With patience and dedication, Tater blossomed into the silly, snuggly, mischievous pup she was meant to be. Today, she’s living her best life—claiming blankets, conquering squeaky toys, enjoying peanut butter sandwiches (when she can sneak them!), and starring in her own Instagram adventures

I’m Lizzy: snack thief, nap enthusiast, and professional cuddle monster. I may be pint-sized, but my personality is supersized.

Guess who’s out of the hospital and feeling better every day? 💙 Blue!

After more than 2 weeks of intensive care battling four different respiratory diseases, this sweet boy is finally recovering in a loving foster home. 🐾

Every step of my journey has brought me closer to one thing I’ve never had—a loving family.

I'm Baloo! I came a long way to get here—all the way from Djibouti! Now I’m safe, loved, and looking for my forever family. People think I might be a Basenji-Saluki mix, which sounds pretty fancy, right? I’m about 25 pounds right now, but I’m working on filling out to a healthier weight.

I have big soulful eyes that have seen a lot—but don’t worry, I’m ready for brighter days. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know I’m safe, my sweet side comes out. I really love other dogs, and I’ll definitely need a confident dog sibling in my new home to help me keep learning and growing. Oh, and cats? No problem—I get along great with them too!

I’m crate trained and learning all about life as a pet—house manners, routines, and all those new things. I just need a patient human who will go at my pace, give me time to settle in, and cheer me on as I discover what it means to be part of a family.

I’ve already made such a big journey. Now I’m hoping the next step is finding you. ❤️

⚖️ The cutest law firm in town is hiring for a permanent home!

📚️ Spokes and Kodiak have been spending their days at a law office while their foster mom works—and they take their roles very seriously.

They work best as a pair, and you never see one of them without their co-counsel. Both are experts in confidentiality, lap-sitting and courtroom-level drama.

Hi, I’m Joey! 🐾 You're in for a treat. 👇️

I may be 4 years old now, but if you swipe, you’ll see a super cute photo of me when I was just a little pup. Yep, I’ve been a heart-melter since day one.

I’m about 40 pounds of pure fun—playful, affectionate, and pretty smart if I do say so myself. I love learning new things (especially when treats are involved!), and I feel my best when I know what’s expected of me. Structure makes me shine!

My favorite things? Walks, romping in the yard, belly rubs, and just being with my people. I know all my basic commands, I’m good with kids, and I get along with other dogs (especially the ladies 🐶💕). Cats? Honestly, I don’t really notice them.

I was adopted as a puppy, but now my family’s new human baby is allergic to dogs. So here I am, looking for my next loving family. I can’t wait to share adventures with you, then snuggle up on the couch after. Think we could be the perfect match?

Please don't scroll. I'm trying to capture hearts here! I’m Apolla! You might think I look all serious in my pictures, but I promise—it’s just my “model face.” In real life, I’m a big ol’ softie with the sweetest eyes you’ve ever seen. ✨

I’m about 3.5 years old, 55-ish pounds, and a shiny black lab mix. I’ve got pawsitively perfect manners, a low-to-medium energy vibe, and I’m happiest just hanging out with my favorite people!

I dream of a chill home with grown-ups (teenagers and young adults welcome!) where we can enjoy quiet evenings and comfy couches. I’m great on a leash, I like laid-back doggy friends, but…let’s just say cats and chickens bring out my too-curious side. 🐔🐱

Life threw me a curveball when my old family left me at a shelter—just because I chased their chickens. I didn’t understand, but the kind humans at PetConnect couldn’t leave me behind. Now I’m in the DC area, cozy in a foster home, waiting for my real forever family.
