PetConnect Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to placing abandoned dogs and cats in loving homes.

PetConnect fosters animals from these high kill shelters until they can be placed with a permanent family. All of our animals are spayed and neutered at an appropriate age and receive full medical care. The placement process is a critical component of our mission as the personalities of both the animals and the adopters are carefully considered. At PetConnect Rescue, we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

They’re only about 4 pounds right now, all velvet ears and wiggly energy, and they should grow to around 15 pounds.

They’ll be ready for adoption on December 15th 🎄, just in time for fireside snuggles 🔥. And if your partner needs a little convincing, you can always say he’s finally getting that “fine Scotch” he keeps talking about. No decanter needed.

Calling all fierce divas! My name is Layla and I'm a professional cutie ready for adoption! 💁‍♀️💛

Let’s address the obvious: yes, my ears are fabulously fluffy, and yes, that sparkle in my eye means I’m about to do something mildly chaotic but completely adorable.

I’m a 1.5-year-old Yorkie mix who lives for tug-of-war, zoomies, and following other dogs around like I’m their tiny, overly enthusiastic hype girl. (I’m not saying I flirt… but I’m not NOT saying it.)

Car rides? I’m a dream.
Walks? I prance like I’m on a runway.
Birds? I chase them for my own amusement.

No plans. No strategy. Just vibes.

At home, I’ll either melt into your lap or sit beside you while you work so I can supervise. You’re welcome.

I also sleep in my crate all night because I am, in fact, a very good girl. And yes, I’m learning commands — “sit” is going GREAT, thank you for asking! 💅

Fostering doesn’t just save lives; it changes them.

A spare room, a quiet corner, a few weeks of love… that’s all it takes to give a dog safety, stability, and the chance to be adopted before the New Year.

If you’re home for the holidays, opening your door could be the greatest gift you give this season. 🐾

If you’re traveling, don’t worry—tell us your schedule and we’ll work around it. Even a few days of foster care after transport means the world to them!

A stunning, happy guy who shines in playgroups—playful, social, and ready for fun.
Transport: Wednesday, December 10.

🐶 BABY
40 lbs • 3 years
A total sweetheart! Great with dogs, fine with cats, house-trained, gentle, and low-drama. She was a stray who was never claimed and deserves her soft landing.
Transport: Any Wednesday or Saturday.

🐶 MINNIE
27 lbs • 7-year-old Beagle
A sweet, people-oriented girl who enjoys being picked up and cuddled once she feels safe. Plays with dogs once settled. Prefers older kids. Not good with cats. Completely house-trained!
Transport: TBD in the next 10 days.

🐶 MALCOLM
65 lbs • 1 year
Found walking along the interstate in WV. Friendly, handsome, good with dogs, and decent on leash. A big, energetic boy who’d thrive with an active foster or a dog who can match his play style. Loves adventure!
Transport: Wednesday or Saturday.

🐶 BRUNO
38 lbs • 6 months
Sweet, social puppy who loves other dogs and does great with kids.
Transport: TBD in the next 10 days.

🐶 SIMONE
40 lbs • 1.5-year-old Catahoula/Bully mix
Shy, sweet, hearing impaired, and has a permanent head tilt that makes her extra charming. Needs a home with another dog and no cats.

💔 It’s hard to understand how a kitten as sweet as this is still waiting…

This is the Purr-fect Lil Spoon, a 4-month-old cuddle bug who has been in foster care in Rockville for two whole months with no interest. 😢

All of her siblings have been adopted… and now she’s the only one left.

Her foster family is doing their best to keep her company, but she’s lonely and desperate for a feline friend or a human who’s around most of the day. True to her name,

Lil Spoon loves to be the little spoon when she snuggles. She’s a total Velcro kitten. She's affectionate, purry, playful, and always nearby.

She loves to:
🐾 Play until she flops over
🍽 Eat like a tiny queen
🤍 Cuddle like it’s her full-time job

She doesn’t want much… just a lasting home and someone to love her the way she’ll love you.

Looking smooth, but my name is Rocky! I’m 58 pounds of charm and muscle, and I've got a smile that could get me out of literally any crime.

I’m short. I’m stout. I’m incredibly handsome.
And I’m VERY serious about two things:
