Coming this summer, Potlatch Vet Clinic will be having Farm Call Thursdays and House Call Fridays. These will be special days where we come to some of our rural surrounding communities to provide a full range of veterinary services.

On these special days, we will be offering reduced price farm/house calls for anyone within 10 miles of the select town. Give us a call for more details and to get on the schedule for your town's day.

Our first locations are:
Thursday, June 18th, Farm Calls in Plummer
Friday, June 19th, House Calls in Bovill

All summer long, Potlatch Vet Clinic will be having weekly specials!

This week (6/9-6/12) is a F***l Analysis Special. $25 for in house f***l analysis to check for GI parasites/worms. If you have a valid VCPR (Veterinary Client Patient Relationship) you can give us a call to drop off a f***l sample. If you do not have an up to date VCPR, call us to get on our schedule for an annual exam or herd health and bring a f***l sample with you or we can help you collect one.

A VCPR (Veterinary Client Patient Relationship) is a legally required relationship between your veterinarian, your animal, and yourself to allow your veterinarian to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for your animal. A VCPR is established by your animal having a yearly physical examination or herd evaluation. If you don’t have one, give us a call to schedule and establish. 208-875-4838.

Happy June! We see allergy cases all year long, but the nice summer weather makes them more common. The nice weather brings out more environmental allergens, like pollens and hay. In dogs and cats, the most common symptom of allergies is itchiness, scratching, licking, and red inflamed skin.

The weather is nice, the ticks and other bugs are out! Make sure you get your pets on preventatives to avoid dangerous diseases that can be transmitted to your pets (and you) from ticks.

To help out, all month long, we are having a special on parasite prevention products (flea, tick, heartworm, deworming). Give us a call to get a refill of your pet's preventative products. Or get on our schedule if you pet is not up to date on their annual examination to get some parasite prevention products.
