OFA Radiograph Special

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) screens dogs for hip and elbow dysplasia to maintain breeding standards and guide treatment. OFA screening consists of radiographs taken under sedation which are submitted to board-certified radiologists for evaluation.

For the month of December, we are offering a special package price for OFA Hip & Elbow testing. This will include an exam, microchip, appropriate sedation, radiographs and OFA submission/results. This package will be $350 – please call the clinic for details, or to schedule!

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and their beloved animals. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

*Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
*Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
*Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
*Process patient records accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans.
*Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
*Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding patient care.
*Assist in animal handling during examinations or procedures when necessary.
*Stay informed about animal anatomy knowledge to assist in client education.

Requirements
*Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
*Animal handling skills, particularly with dogs and other common pets.
*Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is advantageous.
*Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is a plus.
*Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
*A genuine passion for animal care and welfare is essential.
