We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and their beloved animals. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced veterinary setting.
*Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
*Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
*Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
*Process patient records accurately, including medical histories and treatment plans.
*Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
*Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding patient care.
*Assist in animal handling during examinations or procedures when necessary.
*Stay informed about animal anatomy knowledge to assist in client education.
Requirements
*Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
*Animal handling skills, particularly with dogs and other common pets.
*Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is advantageous.
*Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is a plus.
*Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
*Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
*A genuine passion for animal care and welfare is essential.
