Our prayers and thoughts are with the Volmer and Swales families and especially Veronica as we look back on the 2025 NSHA - National Stock Horse Association Futurity and Derby.

Her progress this week is promising and we are looking forward to sharing her continued healing updates.

In the show pen, Jake and his three aged event horses made proud!

𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙊𝙛𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙗𝙤𝙭 owned by Rory and Heather Livingston secured over $2300 in the Intermediate Open Derby. 🎉

𝙁𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙓𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 placed in the top 10 of the Intermediate Futurity, catching a check for owners Dan & Linda Macedo 💥

𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙎𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 stayed strong and consistent in her first major show, we are really looking forward to showing this mare for Cynthia Forrest 🎉

To compete at an event like Salinas is unlike any other experience for both horse and rider! Metallic Touchdown showed up for the excitement of the Sunday Afternoon Performance and came out on top. We couldn’t be more proud of how this horse handled all of the excitement and honored to add this accomplishment to his resume!

Starlight has proven herself in the show pen with a resume built entirely in the Open, including a finalist finish in the 2023 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Intermediate Open. But her value to our program goes beyond her own accomplishments. Her dam, Starlight Playmate, was the first cow horse ever owned by Kalpowar Quarter Horses. Shown by Todd Crawford, she earned multiple titles throughout her career, including the 2003 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Bridle Championship.
