Great Lakes K-9 Great Lakes K-9 is a pet grooming, boarding, and dog training complex dedicated to serving members of our community.

We specialize in kenneling, grooming and training of dog breeds of all types. We offer a variety of classes endorsed by the St. Clair Kennel Club including puppy kindergarten; basic, intermediate, and advanced obedience; rally courses; advanced agility; conformation; leader dog training; and a walk-in fun class. Also, we rent out rooms for training and work with local 4-H groups to encourage learning about dog training and responsibility.

It's June 1. Schedule for new classes this month will be posted today. Remember our ongoing classes - Puppy, Intermediate/Advanced Obedience - start when it works for you.

Canine Good Citizen Test being scheduled for June 10. We invite any former GL K-9 students who are interested in adding this title to their dog's resume to call 810-987-5770 to sign up. $10 charge for test. Flat ribbons for those who pass test. There is a charge to register your new title with AKC.

Instructor: Excuse me for asking but does your training work at the vet's office? Does your dog settle in the car?

Person: Not as good as I'd like.

Instructor: Try an advanced class. We can help proof your dog and make them better trained.

We have on-going Advanced Obedience Classes Wednesday evening at 7:30 and Thursday morning at 11:00. Great opportunity to work your dog around other dogs with similar goals.
