Directions

A cat/kitten contact facility that assists in finding a purrfect cat or kitten for you to adopt. We network with all shelters and local rescues.

We are NOT an intake facility anymore. All kitties are "fixed' vaccinated, tested, flea/worm treated, and FIV/FeLV neg. We will help you to find the cat/kitten you are looking to adopt as an indoor pet by networking with local shelters/rescues!

Our long term resident, Oliver, has had a little tummy ache these past few days. The vet prescribed oral Reglan for him, which we can mix in a small amount of wet food. He is at least 13 years old and was not friendly when he arrived. Through the years, he has gotten less tempermental and wants to sit on your lap. We hope that the medication will help him with his tummy ache. Remember that he and the other 8 residents love visitors!

Yesterday afternoon, Janae and her two sons brought a beautiful long haired tortie to us for worm, ear mite, flea treatment and weigh in. She showed up at their home in the rural area of Oak Harbor a few days ago. She weighed 4 pounds and was very friendly. We removed several burrs from her tail, and she purred the entire time. They have named her "Lucy" and will be getting her spayed as soon as possible. We are so happy to see another kitty get a good indoor home. We gave them some food mats and floor mats as well as some cat toys. THANK YOU to Janae and family for taking her in!

DeDe, Paul, and their furbabies stopped by with treats since it is Halloween time. The kitties got a bag of Iams dry food, some wet food, and dry cat treats. They also generously donated some cash. This was definitely needed as I just placed orders for over $300 of product. We use these products to help the public get over the counter treatment if they find a kitty in need and take the kitty inside a safe and loving home. THANK YOU to all who volunteer, donate, adopt, and share our posts. We could not do what we do without your help!!

Chelsey B and family rescued a 3 month old kitten laying near the street close to the football stadium in Port Clinton 4 days ago. She brought the kitten to The Cat House yesterday (Tuesday). She weighed in at 3 pounds, was given worm meds, had her ears cleaned for ear mites, was flea treated, and got terramycin in her eyes. We gave her a "starter package" of a litter box, litter, a scooper, bowls for food and water, a placemat, a few cat toys and a scratching post. We will provide these services and items for anyone who takes in a stray kitty or kitties into their home to care for and love the kitty or kitties. We do not charge for this. We want to see more people rescue kitties and give them indoor furever homes!

A BIG thank you to Josh and Emily S. Josh and I worked together before I retired. They have 2 spoiled and very loved kitties at home. They brought us 2 buckets of Tidy Cat clumpable litter, some Temptation treats, and two cute cat toys. We really appreciate anyone and everyone who helps us with the needs of our residents!

We received a big canister of Churo treats and Friskies California crunch treats from Stephanie. Stephanie contacted us in June about kitties in her neighborhood. Her neighbor, Mary, quickly learned how to trap and transport to the vet for spay/neuter. Stephanie got the first female, and Mary got EIGHT more kitties since July!! April and her group have assisted very much the entire time. This is what good teamwork does to prevent more homeless kitties from being born! If you would like to be trained to trap and the details of getting kitties fixed, let us know! This group of gals and a few guys are continuing to make a difference by caring for the kitties and preparing warm shelters for them for the upcoming winter, (One kitten did get adopted into a wonderful indoor home!)

It was great to see fellow cat lovers, Stephanie and DeeDee yesterday. Stephanie recently took in 2 five week old kittens, so we were able to get worm meds, ear mite solution, and terramycin eye ointment ready for her for her new babies! DeeDee and I have been friends for 14 years. and we love cats. There are kittens looking for homes and many adult cats, too. Please consider opening your home and heart to a kitty or two waiting for someone to care for them and love them!
