The Cat House

The Cat House A cat/kitten contact facility that assists in finding a purrfect cat or kitten for you to adopt. We network with all shelters and local rescues.

We are NOT an intake facility anymore. All kitties are "fixed' vaccinated, tested, flea/worm treated, and FIV/FeLV neg. We will help you to find the cat/kitten you are looking to adopt as an indoor pet by networking with local shelters/rescues!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! The Cat House cats are eager for you to visit them! We are looking for one more volunteer to scoop boxes and feed and water the kitties. Message us if you are interested. It takes maybe 30 minutes to do. More than anything, the kitties want attention. The only thing they are still asking for is Party Mix beachside crunch treats and Friskies wet food PATE. Happy New Year to you and thank you for all of your support!

We received a donation from Stephen and Linda M. in memory of John McClain. Thank you to Stephen and Linda!
John and his wife, Marla, are cat lovers and rescuers. They brought the big black and white guy to The Cat House around 2017 . His name was King Tut, and he was one cool cat. He got a wonderful home with a young couple. They loved him and taught him adorable tricks. He passed in July 2021, but we were so happy that he got his furever indoor home. Prayers are sent to Marla and all of the family who took care of John at his home until the end.

I am sad to report that one of my own kitties passed over the Rainbow Bridge late last night. Her name was Candy Cane., a semi feral long haired tortie who ran into my place in Jan 2016 when I opened the door during a winter storm. She would not allow me to pet her for years. The last 2 months, she ran to me for treats, purred, let me pet her, and started to sleep above my head at night. I think this was her way of thanking me for making her an indoor cat. She will be buried behind the Cat House with the others. She was around 12-13 years old and suddenly went downhill in two days. She leaves a paw print on my heart. The loss of a beloved pet is the worst pain that any animal lover can relate to. Love all of your furbabies every day as you never know when their last day is.

On Christmas Eve, Amy, our Sat volunteer, came to visit the kitties and show them love. After she left, Ruthie and Brit came to visit the kitties. THANK YOU for taking time during this busy holiday season to stop by! Dawn and Val are the Thursday cleaners and are so dedicated. They still came to clean and feed the kitties today (Christmas Day)...they also left a container of Partymix beachside crunch. THANK YOU so much! The 9 residents wish you all a wonderful holiday. Please contact Lisa if you are interested in volunteering to come to brush the kitties and show them love while they dream of furever indoor homes with families.

MEOWY CATMAS to you all! We are grateful for our volunteers and supporters. We could not help these kitties without your help. The 9 residents are not asking for much for Christmas...just Partymix beachside crunch treats, fabuloso lavender cleaning solution (generic is fine), Iams dry cat food in the orange bag (salmon or chicken), and some visits if you have time. Enjoy your holidays, and we wish you all the BEST this holiday season!

It has been a busy week....A kitty needed terramycin eye ointment, another kitty (rescued by Becky and Mike) needed worm medication, and Rose's kitty, Tom Jones, needed his toenails trimmed.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OF YOU! Come to visit our 9 residents anytime. It is nice and warm in the Cat House, and they just LOVE visitors.

Our Story

A cat/kitten adoption assistance for anyone looking for a furever INDOOR cat/kitten. We network with rescues, shelters, and the public. We also help with over the counter flea and worm meds if you need them for a kitty you rescued. We will provide a list of low cost spay/neuter programs in this area. Please consider rescuing a kitty off the streets or adopting from a shelter or rescue group. So many are dreaming of their furever home and will shower you with so much love and gratitude. We have some furever residents at our facility to greet you if you bring a cat or kitten for the above mentioned services. If you save one cat or kitten from homelessness, you have made a big difference for that cat or kitten. Together, we all can make this a better world by showing compassion to animals and giving a home to one trying to survive out on the streets. Maybe, someday we will see a reduction in the need of shelters and rescues and the end to the killing of innocent animals due to lack of space in shelters and not enough homes...spread the word far and wide. Don’t breed or buy while homeless pets die!!!
