PSA: ⚠️ Our friends at CrossFit Port Clinton are taking applications for a free program if you fall into one of these categories. If you, or anyone you know is looking to become the best version of yourself I highly recommend filling out an application.

🐶 If you don't fall into a category I recommend signing up for a regular membership. CrossFit is all about functional fitness. (Think about walking those dogs as we age, and being able to lift up doggies as they age too)

🚨ATTENTION🚨

We are looking for people with chronic diseases:
2 people with type 2 diabetes
2 senior citizens (65+ years old)
2 obese people
2 in people recovery
2 people with cancer

If you fit a category above, and are willing to commit to the requirements below, PLEASE fill out the application. Applications will be accepted until April 1st. We will then meet with each applicant and announce recipients to begin the class mid/end April. This class will be held for 3 months with MetFix Class #1.

🚨This class is FREE for recipients and you must reside in Ottawa County.

Meet Chanel Number 5. She visits us WEEKLY to maintain her gorgeous drop coat. She has her own shampoo and conditioner set, and her own designated brush that is her favorite. I am proud of how far she has come since day 1, she is learning to love the grooming process one visit at a time.

Skunk Season is Upon Us! Learn what to do if your pet gets skunked by reading below! 👇👇

We've already had numerous reports of skunked dogs!

🦨 It's that time of year again when skunks are more active, and unfortunately, our furry friends can sometimes find themselves on the receiving end of a skunk's spray. While we hope it never happens to your pet, it's good to be prepared! Here's what to do if your pet gets skunked:
🔹 Act Fast: The sooner you address the situation, the better. Skunk spray is oily and can be difficult to remove if left for too long.
🔹Check Eyes: Flush your pet's eyes with cool, clean water if they were sprayed in the face.
🔹 The "De-Skunking" Bath:

🔹🔹🔹 DO NOT USE WATER ALONE: Water will only spread the oils. And allow the oil to seep further into your pets pores. Make the below mixture and apply to your pets coat BEFORE getting them wet! This is the single most important take away 🔹🔹🔹🔹

🔹 DIY Remedy: Mix 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap.
🔹 Wear Gloves: Protect your hands from the oils.
🔹 Apply and Rinse: Work the mixture into your pet's fur, avoiding the eyes. Let it sit for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
🔹 Repeat if Necessary: You may need to repeat the bath if the odor persists.
🔹 Follow-Up: Call us to schedule a professional grooming to ensure all traces of the spray are removed and your pet's coat is healthy.

Additional Tips:
* Don't use bleach: It can damage your pet's fur and skin.
* Ventilate: Bathe your pet in a well-ventilated area, as the skunk spray can be irritating to humans too.
* Professional Help: If you're unsure or uncomfortable, call us right away! We have experience in safely and effectively removing skunk spray.
