ONE MORE ITEM ISHAS NEEDS...

WE NEED BOX FANS to keep the cold air to circulate .. The Box fans we HAD were Purple.. But any color will work !! Anybody have WORKING box fans???
GREATLY appreciate those.. IF you can order and ship them or DONATE working CLEAN ones..... We use them through the hot weather....

MINDEE .. one eye removed yesterday... UPDATE !

MINDEE had her bad eye removed yesterday and WOW is she ever doing great... Hardly any swelling ... but she does have cold compresses applied 3 times a day to KEEP any swelling down.. NO MORE PAIN little MINDEE.. That nasty dry bulging eye is all gone... YAYYY!
Surgery went very well and MINDEE is acting like nothing ever happened.. We did have a plastic cone on her head - WHICH SHE HATED... So, now she is wearing her soft flower cone and that is going to be much better for her... She is NOT pawing at her eye .. But we have to make sure she does not start doing that or rub it on the rug... So..THE CONE OF SHAME IT IS for now... ALL your good thoughts and PRAYERS worked for little MINDEE. So many of our precious ones need your Prayers and HELP... in fact THEY ALL DO.. We greatly appreciate the donations and all your SUPPORT!...

UPDATE ON MACEY

MACEY had a Vet appointment last week.. Her eye pressures for her Glaucoma have greatly improved.. She will be retested in 2 weeks. She was very anemic and has been placed on some special food & eats 3 times a day.. She IS gaining weight.. She has become more and more active which tells me the anemia is also improving. Although MACEY'S eye pressure is dropping she will remain blind for the rest of her life..:( Her condition was let go too long to improve now.. We just want that pressure down so she is never in pain... She is now playing and seeking out people to hold her. She is a very sweet little senior gal. Many prayers for MACEY..
I continue to take her home with me at night.. She has a very special fluffy bed here at the Sanctuary during the day and another one at my house for night time.ALL DONATED by MOOSES MISSION! She sleeps in my bed WITH her bed on top of my bed through the entire night. She has learned how to go up and down 3 stairs inside and outside.. All you have to do is make a kissy noise and here she comes.. No, she cannot see you, but she can hear you and smell you and know when you are near. She is an absolute delight.. and totally potty broken.
MACEY'S blood work will also be repeated and if all is OK & improving .. she will have a complete MUCH NEEDED dental done.. She will be spayed at the same time so ... she HAS to be healthy enough for anesthesia & surgery. .. This has been scheduled for July 8, 2025.. PRAY.
I don't know WHO let this tiny 6 lb. senior gal get into this condition then threw her away is beyond me ... But I am happy that we were able to help her regain some quality of life..MACEY has been guessed to be around 12 Yr. old.

OK EVERY ONE OF OUR SUPPORTERS PLEASE . -- PAY ATTENTION PLEASE !!

Well, our "THEN" day is moving along positively !
Air conditioner repair is on the way :) JUST ARRIVED.... ugh more money :(

THEN
We had the washer & Dryer delivered..:) Husband Bob will hook them up...

THEN:
MINDEE is out of surgery and doing well... She will be on her way back to us this afternoon (Late).. So pictures & updates will be coming tomorrow..

THEN:
We are slowly getting donations of the PEDIGREE ground Chicken canned food !! WOOO HOOO !

THEN:
We got a BRAND NEW VACUUM , snacks for staff, etc etc. DELIVERED ALREADY..

THEN:
YEAH .... had to rescue a doggie... but She is Just fine.....SIGH.. Info coming tomorrow... Doggie here NOW. LONG STORY...:( THIS ONE TOOK A TEAM EFFORT !!! 3 RESCUES INVOLVED....

THEN:
NOW PAY ATTENTION TO "THIS ONE" .....
NOT ONE PERSON was concerned about the bite I got.... LOL LOL LOL...
I had left over Amoxicillin from a REAL dog bite.. So, what the heck ... I swallowed one of those... MAYBE "that" THEN will be solved too??
CAN I AT LEAST HAVE A GET BETTER ??? iF NOT that is OK doggies come first - always have - always will !!!

WORKING AWAY AND WAITING ON MINDEE.... AND AIR CONDITIONING REPAIR MAN....

WHY DO THESE THINGS HAPPEN WHEN THE HOT WEATHER IS COMING?????

Little MINDEE IS at the Vet RIGHT NOW... She is having her bad ulcerated eye removed..We will post the outcome of that..

THEN:
Some kind hearted person donated a NEW washer & Dryer to us AND WE HAVE no one to pick them up :( .... OUR WASHER is broken..:( WORKING ON THAT!

THEN:
We are almost OUT of PEDIGREE CHICKEN FLAVORED GROUND CANNED DOG FOOD.. Many many senior dogs are on that... It goes fast here...CAN SOMEONE DONATE ???

THEN: We have been blasted with requests to take in Doggies that people cannot keep .... AND I MEAN BLASTED !! We are out of room for the size of these senior infirm dogs.. It makes us all very sad....

THEN:
Our Vacuum Cleaner broke! Are you kidding me??? CAN SOMEONE DONATE A GOOD VACUUM ??

THEN: As I am sitting here worried about our air conditioning going out.... I GOT BIT!!!! Not a dog bite but a bite nonetheless and my right hip is swollen and red....Either a tick or a spider is my guess..... WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING...???? I will live.. ( I think )...

WHAT IS OUR NEXT **THEN***???

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP US !!! AND PRAY FOR MINDEE...AND FOR ISHAS to begin getting DONATIONS!!!

BIG NEWS - BIG BIG NEWS! KRYPTO HAS ARRIVED ONLY ONE YEAR OLD :(

Yes, it is VERY ODD that ISHAS would rescue a 1 year old Pup.. BUT, He needed us...BIG TIME! His name WAS Barkley at the pound... He was RESCUE ONLY because he has a BIG heart Murmur AND a huge enlarged heart... We all know what WOULD have happened to him. If no interest he was to be Humanely Euthanized... NOPE!! He NEEDED to come here and start on proper medication and find HIS furever home.... Now, let me tell you more.....
Yesterday we got a plea from the Shelter he was in... Our AWESOME transporter for that area Matt Collins (Uncle Matt) Was supposed to pick him up today at that shelter & bring directly to ISHAS.. BUT... being Juneteenth they were going to be closed... Uncle Matt said NOPE!! He will not spend one more night in the Shelter and went and pulled him out .. Since it was rather late in the day.. and ISHAS having no intake team at night... Uncle Matt took him home for the night.
This little guy was a PERFECT overnight guest and absolutely ADORES uncle Matt. Uncle Matt (who is a big fan of SUPERMAN) renamed BARKLEY - - - His new name is KRYPTO.. Uncle Matt even has a SPIDERMAN shirt with his name on it !! This NAME has a deep meaning for Uncle Matt...
KRYPTO arrived safe & sound and acts just like the puppy he is... He does not know he has a heart murmur or an enlarged heart.. We are TRYING to calm him down... He is in great need of a bath & some Shannon grooming... of which he is NOT a fan of .. Long nails, matted fur etc. etc. etc. Poor little GUY.. he deserves a CHANCE and ISHAS is going to give him that chance of QUALITY OF LIFE We cannot continue to HELP these SPECIAL medical needy ones without YOUR HELP! **PLEASE DONATE**
He definitely was loved and in a home at some point in his life... He knows what a bed is and wants CONSTANT attention and love... So, ON WE GO... Please welcome KRYPTO to ISHAS.....

GOOD NEWS FOR BANDIT!!

As previously posted BANDIT who is 12 Yrs. old arrived at ISHAS as an owner surrender. BANDIT is a PHALENE Mix ( we think).. BANDIT had a very suspicious big mass on his tail & his a**s.. After his examination & Vaccines getting updated ...our Vet wanted to get him neutered as soon as possible to see if these masses would shrink... THEY DID and they continue to do so... The Biopsy of the masses came back from the lab....CANCER FREE!! Wooo Hooo... So BANDIT does NOT have to get his tail amputated ... He gets to keep his beautiful flowing tail... He is Totally Potty Broke.. Gets along with all dogs.. He has not been cat tested.. He walks VERY WELL on a leash and enjoys trotting along in our grassy yard.. THIS GUY would make a PERFECT companion for a loving family ... BANDIT weighs 24 Lbs. He is a bit overweight and has lost 4 Lbs.. But could lose a little more.. He is Heartworm negative and does not take ANY medication.. It does not get any better than THIS!!
THIS SENIOR BOY NEEDS that perfect home to dote over him.. WHAT IS THE DOWNSIDE??? WELLLLLL, BANDIT has a Mallard Duck toy that he LOVES... Staff has been trying to snag it away from him to give his toy a bath.. BUT, BANDIT takes his duck everywhere with him... outside, Inside , in bed, snuggles and sleeps with it , plays with it
HIS DUCK - HIS RULES.. THAT IS HIS DOWNSIDE... So, anyone wanting to adopt him MUST accept his dirty Duck with him... WE WILL keep trying to get his SPECIAL STUFFED DUCK washed... NO PROMISES....

BUDDY the COCKER SPANIEL found HIS furever home... Yaaa hooo!

BUDDY the overweight food stealing Cocker Spaniel found his PERFECT home 2 weeks ago.. At first we did not know if he would settle in a new home... BUT, as of last night... He is doing good... He has been going on walkies all day and did begin to limp a bit.. So it might be a little bit too much exercise for him.. He will be seeing the ADOPTERS Vet soon to determine the problem.. THIS MAMA want's nothing but the BEST for BUDDY. As we did too. BUDDY is loved and well cared for .... and all we can say... is...

HAPPY HAPPY NEW LIFE FOR LULU !! YESSSSS... LULU!!!

I JUST had posted that I felt LULU would never find her furever home and how her senior years would be spent for life here at the Sanctuary.. Well, guess what?
A WONDERFUL loving family put their application in to ADOPT LULU.. They all came to visit her and meet her last Saturday.. After a long visit .. The decision was made that they wanted to give LULU a home FUREVER with them... LULU loved the children and I am not kidding... She LOVED all the attention and petting... LULU was the happiest I have EVER seen her. So... HOME SHE WENT! I have been in touch with the family and LULU is living the good life with a family who absolutely adores her..For however LULU has .. her life will be EXACTLY what she always wanted... A HOME & A FAMILY... AND all we can say is....
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL !
