Obedience training commands used are heel, sit/stay, down/stay, come, free and the “place” command. Remi the 10 month old Golden Retriever here for a board and train. Her owner has the basic foundation and we will be concentrating on the extended impulse control.

Our nose work students trialed again this past weekend with the club of Lee County. Both students did extremely well. All of these runs are advanced level in AKC and the elements were interior exterior and containers in which there were two hides. Our students were very patient and let their dogs work. To end the clock they have to say finish at the end. We are very very proud of them representing VIPet Services.

Our basic class lesson this week was teaching loose leash walking. Most dogs only know a tight leash which can result in leash reactivity. By teaching the dog loose leash it helps with being calmer , no pulling and able to keep you in their eye sight.

We took our VIP Rescue Garage class to the North Port farmer's market. It was great environmemtal training and the dogs did a fabulous job ❤️

It is foster Friday with Carolina Reaper. She has been out of commission due to her going through a heat cycle. We are now resuming her scent work. She is still available through Rescue Garage. She is now close to 10 months old.

Tipsy and Willow are in our intro to scent work class. They have started on the birch scent and they are learning how to find the odor we have been imprinting.
