Our hearts at the Bolivar Arena Association are heavy as we witness the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country.

We are sending our deepest prayers and heartfelt thoughts to the families and friends of those who have been victims of this tragic flooding, and especially to those who are still not found safe.

We know the days ahead will be long and difficult, as will many days beyond that. The path to recovery will be challenging, but please know you are not alone.

We will continue to pray fervently for all search and rescue operations, and for the incredible individuals who are assisting in this disaster. May they be granted immense strength, courage, and perseverance as they continue their vital work.

🌵🐎 Hey Port Bolivar, Crystal Beach, Gilchrist, and High Island neighbors, let’s talk rodeo dreams! 🤠

Yes, we’re still on a mission (like cowboys chasing calves) to raise funds for the Bolivar Arena Association Building Fund—because this Peninsula deserves its own permanent rodeo arena!

Imagine it:
✅ Real bleachers you don’t have to BYO lawn chair for
✅ A proper arena to host rodeos, barrel races, community events.
✅ A true home for the whole community to gather and make memories (and maybe a little friendly rivalry)

We know money doesn’t grow on palmettos, but even a little helps us build big. 🤎

💰👉 Donations? Yes please.
🐴👉 Sponsors? We love you.
📣👉 Sharing this post? That’s free and it helps a ton.

Let’s wrangle this dream together! Help us put permanent roots down right here on the Peninsula.

👉 To donate, get involved, or ask questions, shoot us a message,

Thanks, y’all! Let’s make sure the next generation has a place to ride, rope, cheer, and celebrate, all right here at home.

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mark DeSantis and Tom Osten for their unwavering support and incredible patience as we continue our journey to make a permanent rodeo arena right here at home.

It takes a community to build something lasting, and we’re proud to have partners like you riding beside us.

🐎 Saddle Up, Bolivar! We're Building Something Big! 🐂

Y’all… it’s finally happening. The Bolivar Arena Association is kicking up dust and dreams as we push forward with our Capital Campaign to raise $500,000 for a first-class arena right here on the Port Bolivar Peninsula! 💪

This isn’t just an arena. It’s a home for:
🏆 Hosting and welcoming rodeo's
👩‍🌾 4H & FFA agricultural education
🚨 First responder emergency training
🎉 Community events that bring us all together
🤠 Preserving our cowboy heritage, one hoofprint at a time

We’re talking ground prep, real PCA-approved dirt (yes, that’s a real thing!), contestant entrances, livestock pens, bleachers that won’t budge, real restrooms (🙌), show barns for our youth, and, huge flagpoles proudly flying the Texas and U.S. flags, sure to make Betsy Ross tip her hat.

We’ve got the vision. We’ve got the spirit. Now we need YOU.

Whether you're a rancher, rodeo contestant and fan, dirt moving equipment connoisseur, proud parent of a future showman, or just love seeing Port Bolivar Peninsula shine, this arena is YOURS to help build.

🤝 Donate.

🚜📣COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT & BIG THANK YOU 💥🪚🔨🪛🔧

At the ❤️ of every great project is a group of people who are willing to show up, get their hands dirty, and help turn dreams into reality, and today, the Bolivar Arena Association wants to give a heartfelt shoutout to some of the folks who have already stepped up to do, just that. 🙌

To our incredible community members who continue to support us with your time, donations, encouragement, and belief in this mission, THANK YOU. Your involvement is the fuel behind every step forward. You remind us daily that this arena isn’t just a vision, it’s a shared purpose. 🐎💙

And a special THANK YOU to, Brian Camp & Brad O'Dell who are the boots-on-the-ground crew and the businesses who are going above and beyond to help us get the arena build underway: Nauti Beaver Hut, Jose's Cantina Restaurant, Mark DeSantis, Swedes Park and Texas Crab Festival. So many more, we apologize if your name or business was left off.

🔹 C2 Land Works: Stepped up at the first call to offer their outstanding work and support with site prep and dirt work
🔹 Jeremie Savoie – for lending his time, tools, and talent
🔹 David Allison Jr. – for stepping in and stepping up when we needed it most
🔹 C**t Thomas – for getting in the trenches with us and making things happen
🔹 Seaside Lumber – for helping us secure the materials that make dreams buildable

If we missed you in this post, comment below with your name and business to let us know! You all deserve to be recognized!

These folks have been instrumental in kicking this project off, and we are incredibly grateful. This is what true community partnership looks like, neighbors helping neighbors, building something lasting together. 💪🏽🏗️

Let’s keep it going because together, we’re not just building an arena… we’re building a legacy.

🗣️ WANTED: Tools of Mass Construction 🛠️😎
📍Bolivar Arena Association: Now Accepting Dirt Donations (and Equipment Too)

Listen, y’all... we’ve got BIG arena dreams and a whole lotta Texas dirt to wrangle. The only thing standing between us and dirt, bleacher greatness? A tragic shortage of heavy machinery. 😩

So we’re putting out the Bat-Signal for:

🚜 Front-End Loaders – Because lifting dirt by hand is so 1800s
🌱 Mowers – The grass is trying to take over. We’re losing the battle.
🪨 Box Blades & Ground Prep Gear – Help us smooth things over… literally.
🛠️ Anything That Goes VROOM & Moves Earth – If it digs, drags, scrapes or levels, we’ll take it. Bonus points if it doesn’t catch fire when we turn the key 🔥😉

💥 Whether you can loan it, rent it, or just want to show off your toys, we want to hear from you!

📞 Call or text Brian “The Dirt Whisperer” Camp at 409-996-6860

We promise not to break it… probably.
(Just kidding, we’ll take good care of it. Pinky swear. 🤞)

Let’s make this arena happen, y’all! We Dig It!
