Dr. Michele Trammell was Chief of Staff for a corporate Veterinary Hospital in the Savannah and Bluffton area for 20 years. Treating serious conditions, surgery and offering regular pet wellness care has been her life and passion, and now she see's the need for a high quality home pet care provider and is taking on the challenge with staff that she feels can meet this need on an Outpatient basics.

It is with a heavy heart that we share one of our clients dogs was euthanized at 2 years old by a local county animal shelter. 💔
(The owner asked us to share for safety reasons to others clients dog owners) Their 2 year old intact male was always good with us after brief warming up; however had nipped their young son in the past and this time killed the neighbors female dog while trying to lock up with her and seriously bit the neighbor badly!
Intact male dogs have an extremely high motivation level for protection as well as s*x drive. We understand the idea of neutering is not always comfortable with some people but there are laws and public safety is the utmost concern here!
Dr. Michele always outlines the pros and cons with clients about spay and neuters but never presses the issue because she understands human emotion as well. Sometimes good and regular socialization with other dogs helps as well as professional training. However in the end the client is held responsible for their dogs actions!

P.S. This is the 5th dog biting incident this month that we are aware of too.
