What an amazing week it’s been at NOKHS! We are beyond thrilled to share that 13 of our sweet shelter animals found their forever homes this week! That’s 13 new beginnings, 13 families made whole, and 13 hearts that will never feel alone again. 💛

From playful and snuggly cats/kittens to adorable pups each one has now started their next chapter filled with love, warmth, and belly rubs. Thank you to every adopter who opened their hearts and homes to these deserving animals. You didn’t just change their lives — they’re going to change yours too.

🐾 Foster Friday Feature: Django & Nala 🐾

This weekend, two of our long-term foster pups are spending some time back at the shelter—and they’ve already made it the ultimate playdate! 🐶🐶

✨ Django has been in foster for several months and just watched his foster sister Shadow head off on a foster-to-adopt adventure (fingers crossed for a full adoption!). Now it’s Django’s turn to find his happily ever after—and he’s not alone.

✨ Nala is also in foster care and stopped by for a special "Dog of the Week" pampering session at Petsense. While she was here, she ran into Django, and the two became fast friends. Watching them bond was pure joy!

Though they’ve been in separate foster homes, Django and Nala hit it off like they’ve known each other forever. They’ll both be at the shelter this weekend, bringing all the tail wags, zoomies, and bestie energy you could hope for. 💕
