We get asked this question all the time: “Is it better to get a male or female Goldendoodle?”

The truth is, there’s no clear winner—both male and female Goldendoodles make amazing family companions. Personality and temperament aren’t determined by gender, and there’s no real difference in how easy they are to potty-train either.

If you already have a dog at home, the best match often depends on their personality. For territorial dogs, opposite-sex pairs usually get along better (male + female). But if your current dog is easygoing, two males or two females can be just as great together! Goldendoodles are naturally friendly and sociable, so they usually do well with all dogs regardless of gender.

In the end, you can’t go wrong with one of these sweet, playful pups—they truly light up any home.
