Join us for our second annual Turk or Treat adoption campaign!

What started as a silly play on words has turned into a spook-tacular campaign to find Turk find a family. It breaks our hearts that this has turned into an annual tradition as that means Turk has already been with us for two years ❤️‍🩹 He is an incredibly smart and outgoing pup who loves outdoor adventures and hanging with his human pals. At this time, he needs to be the only pet in the home.

We ask that all of you engage with this post and share it with as many friends, family members, community groups and rescues as possible! If you don't share, then you're doomed to a terrible fate. Turk the vampire will put a curse on you and force you to stop by with some treats. So which fate shall befall you? Choose wisely! 🦇🖤

Sweet Ortley is the last of his litter to find a family ❤️‍🩹

This little munchkin was brought to the shelter along with his four brothers and sisters when they were just a few weeks old. Despite being sick, all five kitties pushed forward and blossomed into healthy and happy cats. Somehow Ortley has yet to find a family of his own and we can't seem to understand why! He is about 5 months old, neutered and up to date on vaccines. Though he has the potential to live with another feline friend he has NOT been a fan of the doggie visitors passing through the cat room. Watson's face after hearing he has ZERO adoption applications ❤️‍🩹 We don't want to continue breaking this poor boy's heart every time he looks at us and asks if somebody has applied for him. We truly don't have it in us to tell him the truth!

Watson is 6 years young, housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He walks well on leash but would prefer a casual stroll around the block rather than hours of exercise and outdoor adventures. He previously lived with a cat and does not seem to mind hanging with his feline friends here at the shelter. While he is not looking to share his home with another pup, he is a loyal and loving companion to his human friends. He is an incredibly sensitive boy who wants nothing more than to be included in every aspect of your life. When left alone his kennel, he turns and faces the wall while crying out for attention. It breaks our hearts that ADOPTABLE Sq**rt still has not found a family to love her ❤️‍🩹

After more than a year of getting to know and love her we can confirm that Sq**rt is a sweet and silly girl. Though initially shy, she warms up quickly with some gentle reassurance and of course some tasty cookies! With a lean and athletic build, she is built for speed and adventure and would do best in an active household that can manage her energy. While she needs to be the only pet at this time, she can assure you that she has enough love and pawsonality to count for five pups! We are celebrating National Adoption Week with adoptable Vera! This beautiful girl is estimated around 1-2 years old and is truly a big puppy at heart. She loves to romp around and chase her tennis balls, awkwardly galloping across the yard with her long legs 🤭 Vera's ears have their very own fan club....and zip code, but are purely for decorative purposes! She is working on her manners and would do best with an active and adventurous family with teens and adults. We also feel that she may appreciate having another active pup to help her burn off some of that energy. The only thing scarier than my Halloween costumes is the fact that I have spent nearly 3 years in the shelter without a single adoption application! ❤️‍🩹😞

I am such a good boy and yet somehow I sit here, year after year, waiting to hear that someone has come to meet me. Maybe people accidentally pick the wrong name on the website??? Yes, that's definitely what it is. Surely SOMEBODY wants to be my new mommy. I'm Atlas, that's A-T-L-A-S (now I should get a ton of applications)! It truly breaks my heart - just look at my little pouty lip. Despite my ruff past, I am a gentle and sensitive boy who loves meeting new people. I am searching for a home without small children where I will be the only pet. Please don't let me spend my golden years in a shelter. If you're not the right adopter for me, then SHARE SHARE SHARE.
