Good morning community! We appreciate your continued support but are inundated with physical donations as our shelter does not have the capacity to store them. Here is what we need now: 1) a storage facility that is willing to donate at least 2 storage units and 2) one or two people with vans who can transport all of the donated supplies to those facilities.

🐾 Horrible Hundred. Banned Breeders. Broken Promises.

Shake A Paw claims:
🗣️ “No Puppy Mill Dogs – Guaranteed.”
But USDA records and watchdog reports tell a different story — one that’s misleading and harmful.

📉 It is reported that from 2019 to 2023, Shake A Paw Union and Green Brook sourced puppies from breeders with long histories of USDA violations — including some listed in the Humane Society’s Horrible Hundred, and others who later became illegal to source from under NJ law.

📄 These breeders include:
Carol Stoner – Direct USDA violation in 2022
🚫 Illegal to source from in 2023 & 2024
Menno Yoder – Three USDA violations in 2023
🚫 Illegal to source from in 2024 & 2025

⚠️ These aren’t isolated incidents just to Shake-A-Paw. They reveal a broken oversight system — and a pet store chain that continues to make promises of "No Puppy Mill Dogs (large-volumne commerical breeders) it can’t keep.

Shake A Paw via the NJCRPS also claims:
🗣️ “The NJ Pet Protection Act ensures strong consumer protections.”

💥 In reality, this demonstrates the Pet Purchase Protection Act lacks teeth. It allows stores to continue to source from breeders with documented histories of neglect.

📢 That’s why we must pass the Humane Pet Store Bill (S2511/A4051) — to finally hold pet stores accountable and end the puppy mill-to-store pipeline.
