Meet Eddie VanHalen AKA Ziggy, Erryn's fur baby. Eddie spends most of his days watching the birds out the window and is the best mouser this side of the Mississippi 😂 Give him some catnip and the world is his oyster. He is a two year old neutered male and one of the most loving cats you'd ever meet.

Next Up... meet Miss Stevie Nicks. Stevie is Lindsay's newest edition to her pack of four doggies! She is a 10 month old miniature poodle and was the last of her litter. She came to us from a breeder in Arnold, Illinois at 12 weeks old. Stevie spends most of her days snuggled up on the couch. Football days are where her heart sings, she gets to play with the numerous amounts of children there watching their siblings play football. Long walks with her big canine brothers tend to get exhausting so she goes in her little backpack for most trips which she loves very much. She is the tiniest of the pack but has the biggest personality.

Meet Larkin or Lark for short.

Lark is Mayci’s Moyen Poodle. She ended up in the shelter at just 8 months old, the shelter knew Mayci had been looking for a poodle, and even though she already had 6 other dogs 😅, she agreed to take her in.

Lark enjoys playing ball, and rubbing on your legs or walls just like a cat would. She’s weird, goofy, very active with maybe a little ADHD 😄 but we wouldn’t trade her for the world. There is never a dull moment or an intact paper towel roll with her around ♥️.

We’d like to introduce some of our staff pets to you over the next month, starting with Dr. Schulte’s family dog, Queso. Queso is an English Cream Golden Retriever that Santa delivered to the Schulte kids last Christmas.

The English Cream Golden Retriever is known for its cream-colored coat, stockier build, calm, gentle, and friendly personality. Queso checks all of these boxes. ✅

Queso enjoys lounging on the front porch, going on walks with his family, and hanging out with the Schulte family horse in the pasture. 🐶🐴

According to K-State Veterinarian Susan Nelson:

Pet owners should watch for signs of heat stress, such as excessive panting and drooling, they should protect their pets' paws from hot pavement, and they should never leave their pet inside a parked car, even on mildly warm days, says veterinarian Susan Nelson. Pets should be vaccinated against leptospirosis, caused by leptospira bacteria in standing water. Owners should initiate or begin year-round parasite prevention, and they should be aware of potentially toxic plants and landscaping supplies.
