🐾 IMPORTANT NOTICE 🐾

At this time, Pike County Animal Shelter is currently on an intake freeze due to the overwhelming number of stray animals and kittens we have taken in over the last week. Our shelter is currently at capacity, and we want to ensure the animals already in our care receive the attention and resources they need.

If you have kittens or an animal you are needing to surrender, we ask that you please call the shelter and get placed on our intake waiting list.

We understand emergencies happen, and we appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support while we work through this influx of animals.

If you are able to help by fostering, adopting, donating supplies, or sharing our posts, it truly makes a difference. ❤️🐶🐱

This sweet girl was found on W. Adam Street last night here in Pittsfield. She is now at the shelter. Please contact us at 217-285-4811 if she is yours or you know where she belongs.

🐾 OPEN ADOPTION EVENT THIS SATURDAY! 🐾

Join us this Saturday May 30th from 1 PM – 4 PM at the Pike County Animal Shelter for our Open Adoption Event! We have so many wonderful dogs and cats looking for loving homes. ❤️

To help make the adoption process faster and smoother, we encourage everyone interested in adopting to fill out an application ahead of time to get PRE-APPROVED. This allows you to take your new best friend home even quicker during the event!

Whether you’re looking for a playful puppy, a laid-back senior, or a cuddly cat, we may have the perfect match waiting for you. 🐶🐱

Come meet our amazing shelter pets, tour the shelter, and help us find forever homes for animals in need!

This young, sweet, well-potty-trained female black lab mix was brought in this past Sunday. She was found in Pearl. Please call the shelter at 217-285-4811 if she is yours or you know where she belongs.

This handsome fellow was found on Main Street in Pleasant Hill yesterday. He’s fixed and has a collar on. Please contact the shelter if he’s yours or you know who he belongs to. 217-285-4811

UPDATE: HE MADE IT BACK HOME SAFE!! THANK YOU ALL!!

This boy came back home today without his brother. Looks just like this but is probably covered in mud. They live on El dara blacktop and only one came home. Please let us know if you see him!!! Contact 217-285-3425
