Over the years, many of Tatjana’s clients have become extended family. She also offers house-sitting services for established clients and is known for stepping in during last-minute plans and emergencies. She understands how hard it can be to leave a beloved pet behind — especially when those pets are your children — and she takes pride in being someone families can truly count on.
🌍 A Journey That Led to Pittsfield
Tatjana’s love for animals started early — rescuing kittens and dreaming of becoming a veterinarian. Her journey took her from Croatia, to business school in Germany, and eventually to Pike County, which she proudly calls home today. She speaks several human languages — and is especially fluent in dog language, even using a little doggy ASL when working with deaf dogs.

Tatjana partners with trusted local veterinarians Dr. Johnson, Dr. Wilkey, and their incredible staff, the same team that has cared for her own pets for decades. 💼 Two Passions, One Big Heart
In addition to pet sitting, Tatjana has worked as a chiropractic assistant since 1999 and has been with local chiropractor Chris Lanhum since 2015. Balancing both careers is easier thanks to a shared love for animals — and one quote on the office wall says it best:

🐕 How It All Began
Tatjana’s Pet Sitting started in the simplest way — helping care for a friend’s dogs, Shadow and Sophie, and later a feisty Chihuahua named Walter who completely stole her heart. What began as a small act of love quietly grew into the meaningful business she cherishes today.
She admits she never saw herself as a business owner — but by trusting her passion and taking a leap of faith, she built something truly special. Along the way, she has supported families through vacations, life changes, and even the heartbreaking moments when a beloved pet crosses the rainbow bridge — always offering care, compassion, and support.
👩👧👦 A Family Effort
Tatjana is also a proud mom of three — two grown sons and her 14-year-old daughter, Sophie, who helps give their furry guests extra love and attention. Her family plays a big role in making every pet feel at home.
