This seasoned co-pilot used to ride along in a long-haul truck, and she’s still got that “let’s go!” spirit. At 8 years young, Belle is bursting with energy and charm. She’s treat-motivated, a fast learner, and already knows her "sit" and "down" like a pro.

This four-legged adventurer will need a tall fence or a secure tie-out system—she once gracefully cleared a 4-foot fence in her previous yard! Belle may do well with other dogs and share her space peacefully with her sister, so bring your pup in for a meet and greet!

🐾 Meet our pet of the week, Tinker! Tinker came to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) in June after her previous owner faced housing and medical challenges. While she can be a little shy at first, this veggie-loving girl warms up quickly, especially if you bring treats!

Tinker’s been a star in HARP’s field trip program and has earned rave reviews for her excellent car manners, love of leisurely walks, and world-class couch cuddling skills.

We were bred from the beginning to be Pittsburgh's best all-inclusive indoor/outdoor dog care facility. The Dog Stop® opened its doors in 2009 after owners Jesse Coslov and Chris Kane spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners and planning an all-inclusive facility. Their goal is to create a fun and safe environment where dogs would love to come and play, and pet owners would feel 100% confident in the superior care that their dogs were receiving. Everyone needs a mission, so as the first pups were entering the doors, Jesse and Chris made a commitment to their vision for the service. Today that mission and our commitment at both locations remain the same: To deliver a superior experience for the dog and his or her whole family by providing a safe environment, offering educational opportunities, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our clients and their pet companions, instilling complete peace of mind for those we serve—and to earn their trust every day! Our facilities cater to letting dogs do what they do – whether it’s running in our backyards, playing with friends, or just lounging around. Pups who enjoy daily playtime and physical activity are better adjusted, less stressed, healthier and happier – so we focus on lots of exercise and playtime for every pup.
