Domino is getting excited for our Halloween party this Thursday! What kind of mischief is she gonna get up to?? 😼👻

Come out to the lounge on October 29 from 6-10 pm for a spooktacular time! We’ll have plenty of snacks and drinks and of course, CATS!

As always, we’re fundraising to continue our mission helping rescue vulnerable cats in the Pittsburgh community. We’ll have drinks available for donation, as well as plenty of cat-themed items and decor to help raise funds! Though the party itself is free to attend 😸

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the party! And who knows what kind of tricks and treats Domino and all of our other kitties will get up to?? 👀😈

We’re having a Move Out Sale this Saturday and upcoming weekends! Come by the lounge from 3-6pm on Saturday to check out all the cat-themed goodies we have for sale, and enjoy a visit with the kittens in our kitten room during the event! 😸🎁

As some of you may know, our lease is ending at the end of this year and we have to find a new place to call home. We’re still scoping out new potential spaces, so stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, we’re hoping to lighten our load before the move and to raise some funds by selling some cute cat-themed decor items and excess pet supplies. We’ve got cute cat dishes, cat beds, cat candles, cat welcome mats, toys, treats and more! 🧶🛍️🎉

We’ll be hosting more Saturday Move Out Sales through the end of the year, so guests will have more opportunities to shop and hang with our kittens. We’ll make a new post to our social media once we confirm those dates.

We’ve loved being in this community for the past five years, and are so thankful to everyone who has cheered us on throughout our journey! Our goal is to stay in the area, and we appreciate your support as we finish out the rest of the year in our current space and hopefully for many more years to come once we find a new building. 🧡🐱

Spooky season is once again upon us! Save the date to get into the spirit with us at our annual Halloween party on October 29th! 🎃🎉

Come on out from 6-10pm for a night of treats, drinks, games, music, and CATS! We’ll be in costume, and so will the cats —for as long as they’ll keep them on 😹🐈‍⬛

The party is, as always, free to attend. We’ll have cat-themed items and drinks available for donation so come thirsty to help us fundraise and help us continue our mission to rescue vulnerable cats in the Pittsburgh community!

It’s party time! Join us this Wednesday to celebrate 5 YEARS since we originally opened the doors to our cat lounge in Edgewood 🎉😸🎊

This celebration, and the next few months in 2026, mark a critical point in Rescue and Relax’s history and potential future. Sadly, the lease at our current space is ending on December 31st and we have not found a new location yet that will allow us to continue the vital work we do in our community. We need your support to fundraise and network so we can begin our next chapter.

This event is open to everyone! We will be partying from 6-9pm, and there will be plenty of snacks and drinks for donation, and so many cats to cuddle🍹🐱

Thanks to the generosity of GBU Life and an anonymous donor, every donation during the month of September will be matched up to $5,000! 💸🙌

Join us at our cat lounge at 104-106 E Swissvale Ave from 6-9pm. We look forward to seeing you there! 🥳🪩

And if you’d like to donate to take advantage of the matching funds in advance of the celebration, you can find us on Venmo, PayPal, Cashapp, or Ko-fi:
Or via Zelle at [email protected]

And you can always send or drop off cash or checks to:

Ready for some silly cat drama? 😸

Our gray boy Ares enjoys people but will sometimes start stuff with the other cats for no reason. And Thresher is our black cat who was here before him and is thoroughly annoyed with his nonsense!

This afternoon, Ares was running to start beef with another cat, but Thresher interrupted the pursuit path and made him stand down! He was bewildered lol. And then for some reason they remained on the same chair — with Thresher staring daggers and Ares angry and ashamed, looking anywhere but her. . . 🫥

One of our volunteers got a picture that really captured the vibe of it all 😹

They continue to work on their conflict resolution (which improves day by day with close supervision!), and were willingly redirected for more appropriate individual play time afterwards 🙌

07/28/2026

Thresher is bewildered that someone’s made a board game of her favorite pastime: cat crimes! Come on out and play cat crimes or any of our other cat themed board games at our bimonthly game night this Tuesday, July 28th! 🧩😹

All proceeds help us continue to care for these cats, as well as cover over $6000 in emergency medical vet bills we recently accrued for some sick kitties this summer. 🥺❤️‍🩹

You can get tickets on our website at rescueandrelax.com/events — or just walk in and pay the night of! 💻🎟️
