Wanna meet more of our music cats?? Say hello to Good Charlotte and Linkin Park! 🖤❤️‍🔥

These two sweeties (and their mom Evanescence) are part of a different litter than the earlier emo kittens, but all came to the rescue around the same time and were rocking the emo bangs and eyeliner, so we knew we had to continue with the music theme🤘🎸👩‍🎤

We’ve had so many kittens come into our care over the past few months, and the costs to feed and vet them have been climbing as they and their appetites grow. 😺🍗💸

We are entirely volunteer-run and subsist on donations. Any amount you can donate helps us care for the emo kittens and all of the other cats in the rescue. We appreciate your support as we continue to care for these adorable kitties and get them adopted into loving homes!

Meet the emo kittens! 🖤😎

These little guys came to us over the summer and as soon as we saw their faces complete with swoopy emo bangs and eyeliner, we knew we had to name them in homage to iconic emo bands of the 2000s.

Swipe to see them grown up and posing for their next album cover! 😹🎶🎸

These stylish little guys also inspired a whole wave of musician based names for the kitties we’ve been rescuing recently.

In addition to Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Paramore, and My Chemical Romance, we’ve also got two kittens named Good Charlotte and Linkin Park in the kitten room.

And you can stop by the main lounge every weekend to meet the cat versions of Chappell Roan, Kesha, Post Malone, and even Ben Folds! 😸❤️‍🔥

Cats! Tarot! Costumes! Oh my! 🔮🐈‍⬛👻 A big thank you to everyone that came out to our annual Halloween party this past Thursday! 🎃🥳

We loved getting into the Halloween spirit with y’all, and especially seeing all of your costumes! Cloudberry was (briefly) a sushi! 🍣 Ben Folds was alternately a butterfly and a p**p factory 🦋💩😹 And Cavetown ended up going as Batman! 🦇🦹

And an extra special shoutout to who dressed up AS Cloudberry! The imagination and talent are truly unmatched 😻✨

We had a blast celebrating the spooky season with you! And even though the party’s over, you can still come on out to the lounge every weekend and keep getting cozy cuddle time with all of our kitties 😸🎊🤗

Cavetown is getting into the party spirit and trying on all his costumes! What do you think he should be tonight; a lizard, Batman, a pizza boy, a shark???

Come on out tonight from 6-10pm for a cat-tastic time! We’ll have snacks and drinks and are always fundraising to be able to rescue more kittens like Cavetown (part of our music kitties crew!) 😸🎶

Owl and her shelf: a love for the ages ❤️🦉😹

Some of you may recall our bird crew of approximately thirty cats that we helped to rescue last year; Owl was one of the mamas that took a little longer to get comfortable with people than some of the others. But this sweet girl eventually came out of her shell and was enjoying hanging around the lounge and getting pets!

Ever since she felt comfortable to explore, she quickly took to our shelves! Her favorite spot to perch for a nap is always up above everyone else 😴😹

Owl has now been adopted and is in fact going home today! We’re wishing her many more naps in her new home 🥰😸

It’s that time of year again! Save the date for our annual Halloween Party on October 23rd! 🎃🐈‍⬛

Come on out from 6-10pm for a night of treats, drinks, games, and CATS (some may even comply with costumes)!

The party is, as always, free to attend. We’ll have drinks available for donation so come thirsty to help us fundraise as we continue our mission to save even more cats! 😸🥰

Is that a cloud up above? No, it’s Cloudberry surveying his domain!

Ever since we put up our cat shelves, Cloudberry’s been having tons of fun hanging out on the bridge 😹☁️ You can see this silly guy at lounge hours every Friday-Sunday 3-8pm.

(No Cloudberries were harmed in the making of this post! He gets himself up and down from the bridge via our other wall shelves easily and likes to be goofy but can maneuver from all of his silly positions totally fine.)

Pipette update! 🧬🧪😸 This sweet, sassy, and determined girl has been absolutely THRIVING since her health scare back in June.

You may recall, Pipette experienced a serious respiratory emergency at eight weeks old when her windpipe temporarily collapsed. With hospitalization and lots of love and care, she made a full recovery and has been able to run, play, and snuggle just as every kitten should!

Pipette is now five months old and almost ready for adoption, but first she will need spay surgery. Her complex medical history makes it essential to perform the procedure at a primary care vet’s office with oxygen monitoring and intubation. The cost is going to be much higher than a spay and neuter clinic—around $400.

We can’t express enough how grateful we are to everyone who pitched in to Pipette’s life-saving care in June. If you’re able to, please consider donating to her spay so we can get her past this last remaining hurdle before finding her forever home. Every little bit helps!

Do you like board games? Do you like cats? Then join us this Tuesday, August 12th, for a night of board games at our cat lounge! We're hosting this event in collaboration with Games Unlimited and all proceeds for the night will go towards our rescue kitties.

We’ll start at 7pm and continue until 10pm-ish. Games Unlimited is bringing plenty of games for our guests to enjoy, including MLEM Space Agency, Isle of Cats, Calico, Boop, Race to the Raft, Shuffle & Swing, Cat in the Box, Cat Lady, and more!

Thanks to their generosity, every $5 donation will earn you a raffle entry for a chance to win your own copy of Cat Lady or Shuffle & Swing! Order your tickets in advance, and you’ll receive a bonus raffle entry.

We suggest a donation of $10 per person to attend, though we are happy for you to join us regardless of the amount you are able to donate. We will prioritize those who registered for tickets in advance if seating becomes limited.

We’ll be closed on Friday July 4th (but open on the 5th and 6th!)

The kitties are all curled up in anticipation of the noisy and exciting fireworks this weekend. They’re excited to get attention and pets when we’re open again on the 5th! Swipe to see more of Daisy and Bowser’s cuteness. (they’re bonded and adoptable!) 🥹😻

And just a reminder to make sure your pets are secure indoors prior to the fireworks on Friday! Lots of noise and excitement can result in animals trying to run away because they’re scared, but having them in a secure room with comfort items can go a long way to keeping them calm. 🎆😸

UPDATE: Pipette is coming home! 🎉

After performing a fluoroscopy, the outstanding doctors at the OSU Veterinary Medical Center were able to determine that Pipette’s respiratory distress was not caused by a congenital windpipe defect, but a temporary collapse of the windpipe. We’ll still need to manage her condition medically to hopefully prevent future breathing issues, but this diagnosis is a MUCH more favorable outcome than a congenital issue! With proper treatment, the doctors expect Pipette will be able to have a great quality of life. 🥹

Because she has been doing great without supplemental oxygen since Sunday and eating like a champ, OSU determined she can safely return home. We can’t wait to reunite her with her mama for some R&R💕 and her siblings, too, for supervised play time. 🥰
