💔 **The Reality of Rescue…**
Rescuing cats and kittens is not glamorous. It’s not all cute kitten pictures, happy adoption posts, and watching animals find their forever homes.
The truth is… **rescue is exhausting.**
We are nearing the end of another kitten season, and as we have done time and time again, we felt compelled to take in *a lot*. We said yes because there were kittens who needed somewhere safe to go. We said yes because turning them away is something we struggle deeply with.

But I need to be honest with everyone.
**If things continue the way they are, Aggy’s Alley Cats may eventually have no choice but to close.** 💔

Donations simply aren't coming in like they used to. And donations aren't a luxury for a rescue—they are what allow us to pay medical bills, buy food, provide litter, treat sick and injured cats, and continue saying YES when an animal desperately needs help.

We understand that times are difficult. We feel it too. The cost of everything has gone up, and we know everyone has their own bills and responsibilities. But the reality is that the animals still need us, and the expenses don't stop.
And then there are our **fosters.** ❤️
Our foster families are absolutely amazing. They open their homes, their hearts, their time and their lives to these cats and kittens. I truly could not do this without them.
But they are exhausted too.
**I am exhausted too.**

Rescue takes a physical, emotional and financial toll that people don't always see. The late-night emergencies. The bottle babies. The sick kittens. The vet appointments. The cleaning. The laundry. The endless messages. The heartbreak when we lose one. And then doing it all over again because another animal needs us.

We don't want sympathy. We want people to understand what is happening behind the scenes.

If you have ever donated, fostered, adopted, shared one of our posts, brought supplies, volunteered, or simply cheered us on—**thank you.** You have been part of keeping this rescue going. ❤️

But right now, **we need our community.**

This handsome boy Leaf is **1 year old, fully vetted, and ready to find his forever family!** ❤️

He was originally adopted at just 3 months old, but sadly, his adopter was suddenly given only days to live. His family reached out to us to make sure he had somewhere safe to go, and we welcomed him back with open arms. 💔

He is an **extremely affectionate boy** who loves attention and absolutely **loves other kitties!** 🐱💕 After everything he has been through, he deserves a family who will love him for life and give him the happy, secure home he has been waiting for.

🚨 **THE DUMPING HAS TO STOP.** 🚨

Dumping animals has become far too common, and rescues are **drowning**. Shelters are full, fosters are full, veterinary bills are piling up, and rescuers are exhausted. 💔

Every animal dumped on a rescue becomes another animal they have to find space, food, medical care, and a safe home for.

**Please stop dumping animals.** If you can no longer care for an animal, ASK FOR HELP. Don't abandon them and expect already overwhelmed rescues to pick up the pieces.

🐾 **Spay. Neuter. Adopt. Foster. Support rescues.**

We want to save them all, but **we can't keep doing this alone.** 💔

The requests just keep coming 😔
🐾 **This kitten season has been a lot.** 💔

Every year, we know kitten season will be busy. But this year has felt especially overwhelming. We’ve seen so many tiny faces needing help, and with every kitten that comes through our doors, we wish we had the ability to say **yes to them all.**

What has made this season even more difficult is the number of **medical cases** we’ve encountered. Kittens coming in sick, injured, malnourished, dehydrated, or needing extensive veterinary care have required so much more time, resources, and support than we could have anticipated.

And while we do everything we can, the reality is that we simply cannot save every kitten on our own. There are so many who need a safe place, medical attention, bottle feeding, socialization, and someone willing to give them a chance.

It’s heartbreaking to have to turn away animals when our space, foster homes, finances, and resources are already stretched so thin. Please know that **we wish we could help them all.** ❤️

To everyone who has fostered, donated, adopted, transported, volunteered, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on this season — **thank you.** You are the reason we’ve been able to keep going through one of the most challenging kitten seasons we’ve faced.

There are still so many kittens who need us. 🐱
