Join us this Saturday for the Pittsburgh Marathon Pet Walk! 🐶🐾💛

Join the hounds at the Pittsburgh Marathon Pet Walk for a 1-mile walk around Point State Park! Registration is 35$ for the first dog (5$ extra for an additional dog), and all proceeds will donated to the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP). In addition, we will be fundraising for The Izzie Fund, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial support to responsible dog owners to cover veterinary expenses, keeping families together one dog at a time. 💛

Happy National Beagle Day and Happy Earth Day! 🌎🐶

Today is Earth Day! Founded in 1970, Earth Day serves as a reminder to protect the planet’s resources and encourages worldwide actions—such as, cleanups, tree planting, and education—to foster a healthier, more sustainable world.

Did you know April 22 is also dedicated to Beagles because of the world record set on April 22, 2019? The Beaglelandia Beagle Meetup in the UK Set the Guinness World Record of of the Largest Dog Walk of a Single Breed, and since then the day continues to serve as an opportunity for beagle lovers to celebrate our favorite little hounds! Arooo!

Get ready for a paws-itively fun night at The Dog Penn this Friday! Join our friend Mackenzie Check in her fundraiser towards the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Pittsburgh. While this event isn’t organized by the Pittsburgh Hounds, we’d love to show our support!

Earth Day Hound Hike @ Toms Run Nature Reserve

Join us for our monthly Hound Hike at Toms Run Nature Reserve, this time celebrating Earth Day! We plan on hiking the 1 mile loop, but those who wish to may continue and complete the 3-mile loop as well 🥾

Wear appropriate hiking clothes and boots, bug spray, and bring water for both you and your hound. It’s tick season: make sure your hound’s flea/ tick prevention is up to date too🕷️🚫

Release the hounds! 🐶 Join us for our Hound Meetup at The Dog Penn this SUNDAY! 👇👇👇

Located in the Strip District, the Dog Penn is both a dog park and a bar! 🐾 The facility spans nearly 7,000 square feet, with both indoor and outdoor space. It’s a great spot for people to relax, socialize, grab a drink or a snack with friends, all while pups run and play in a safe environment 🐶🐾

Let’s celebrate Pi Day and Saint Patrick's Day - Hound Style!

Join us March 15, 11AM-1PM, at the Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Aspinwall PA.

We’ll meet up at the Dog Park for some PI and Paddy's Day fun! Put on you and your pup's best green getups, enjoy the Spring weather with the hounds, some off leash play, and if interested, have your pup compete in a “Pie” eating contest! Let’s see which hound can chow down the fastest!

(The "pie" will be whipped cream only. The contest will be on leash to help keep the dogs separated)
