Check him out! Fennec is officially ready for adoption!
Wonder how our cats and kittens go from rescue to adoption?
HCMT works with volunteers and community cat caretakers to spay/neuter cats in their areas. Sometimes cats like Fennec are too injured, ill, or just too friendly to re-join their colonies, or are rescued from bad situations.
With our sister organization, Pittsburgh CAT , we assess friendly felines for socialization and adoptability. If we have the space, after spay/neutering and administering age-appropriate vaccines we look for foster placement with our network of volunteers. Once the cats and kittens have recovered, grown some, and spent time socializing with humans, we work to find them homes!
Be sure to follow Pittsburgh CAT to see adoption ready cats like Fennec 🖤💛
Fennec is a happy, playful kitten who has come incredibly far from his beginnings in a hoarding house. Although he entered rescue severely emaciated with eye infections that almost completely obscured his vision, he’s now healthy and ready for a forever home!
