Love never gets old, and neither does spending time with your favorite senior pal. 🥰

The one who still gets excited hearing the jangling of keys. 🔑

The one who still does a happy dance for their favorite treat. 😋

And the one who still gives you the warmest welcome home (even if you’ve only been gone for five minutes). 🐶😺

What’s something exceptionally cute that your senior pal still does?

🌟 Day 6 of 7 Days of Pet Health Myths 🌟

Heartworm disease is a serious concern for our pets, and research shows that rates of heartworm infections have been trending upward nationwide. Despite this, prevention is significantly safer, easier, and less expensive than treating an existing infection. ⚠

It’s especially critical to protect our cats from this parasite, as there is currently no safe treatment to remove or kill adult heartworms in cats. Infected cats can only receive supportive and symptomatic treatment, making prevention even more vital. 🐱

The good news? Heartworm disease is preventable! There are plenty of options available to protect our pets, including topical treatments 💧 oral medications 💊 and injectable treatments. 💉

Don’t wait until it’s too late—talk to your veterinarian about the best heartworm prevention plan! 🩺
