Oona Here! I am super busy getting ready for all my friends to come and meet Santa on Sunday! So busy, I almost forgot to update our hours! Oona Here!

What a crazy week! Usually I head into the office on Thursdays, but this week mom said it was something called "Thanksgiving" and so the hospital was closed! No one ran that by me! However, I also learned that "Thanksgiving" is a day that means my siblings and I get Turkey on on dinner so I got over it pretty quick!

As usual, I try to learn as much as I can - and the thing I heard the most from everyone I met on Thursday was reciting what they were thankful for! I LOVE that idea! I am thankful for SO many things! I am thankful for turkey and I am thankful for all my beds and the big box that transports me and mom to work and hiking trails... but I am MOST excited for the staff at ESVH.

This crew is something special! There have been a lot of crazy events and set backs since we opened - but the one constant since we opened is the care and compassion the radiates from each and every staff member. This team is the real deal! They love the patients and clients and they work so hard to make sure everyone receives the best care.... and we have so much fun! Also they are all A+ tummy scratchers! I am going top share some of my favorite shot from moms camera roll!

From all of us, we hope that you found someone or something to be thankful and celebrated with your furry family members!

Oona here! I know it's been a while! We have been so busy at the hospital! Tech Week, Halloween and of course saving lives! We have some new faces around here too!

I would like to introduce my new office mate Gertrude! Gertrude (or Gertie for short!) is our new Pest Control! Of course we currently don't have any issues... but Gertie convinced us that she could keep it that way.... and honestly having pest control that doubles as aplaymate is pretty awesome!

She commutes in with her mom Hana! Hana is the new Practice Manager and has a lot of new and exciting improvements coming to the hospital. We couldn't be more excited to have them both join our team! (Also they make the office way more fun!).

Also for all of the Becky fans out there, please don't worry! I am QUALITY control after all and there is no way I would let her go anywhere! Becky (previous practice manager) is still at the hospital full time, just working on other projects!

Today, we remember Dr. Lisa Franck, who passed away one year ago. Some of us learned from her, while others are learning about her. Some were fortunate to learn skills that they didn’t have before, because she was willing to teach them.

Dr. Franck impacted thousands of lives, both animal and human. She fought for human rights as well. Her passion, s***k, sass, knowledge, and dedication is deeply missed. It is our goal to help more in the feline community, to fill the void that she left behind. Her compassion for helping neglected and homeless cats is irreplaceable. Please spay and neuter your pets, in honor of Dr. Franck. We are sending hugs to her sister Sharon and her family today.

*For each cat that comes through the clinic, we think of how she would threaten to give them “kisses on the lips” because of how cute they are. 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

Oona here!!!! Mom said we were going for a stroll this morning... I didn't realize it was going to involve some of my favorite team members AND treats!

Don't worry, I tastes every things! It's delicious!

Come on down to the El So rante Stroll and grab a treat bag on us! Dogs and cats! We also have some human treats...

Oona *YAAAAWWWWWWNNNN* here!
Excuse me! I am just dog-tired! It has been a crazy month here at ESVH. First thing to announce -

We are now open SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!

Cherry and I made sure to help out this past weekend since it was the first weekend we were open! Dr Wehren gave us girls a pep talk before our shift and then Mr Voght gve us some much needed pets and snuggles! We love our clients so much! They are the best and you have all been so supportive!

We have just started getting surgeries scheduled so If you have called about a dental or surgery in the last month, please know that we will be contacting you very soon to schedule!

Lastly, a good samaritan brought us some very tiny surprises! These little babies were on her porch when she took her dog for a walk. She was unable to keep them (they had clearly been abandoned by momma and were tangled in weeds) so she brought them to us. The techs quickly rallied and made a plan. Our techs are so amazing! They came up with a rotating "kitten schedule" and are taking turns taking the kittens home the nights before their day off (making sure they all get enough sleep as well). Their compassion is incredible! These little nuggets are often in the clinic during the day. Please feel free to ask for a peak! If you're lucky it might even be feeding time! If you haven't had the experience of feeding a bottle baby, you are missing out! I am just sad they won't let me do it (Although I have been allowed to give them a few kisses!)

Oona here! What a week! My little sister "Cherry Darling" had to go to the vet! I always go with her because she gets very nervous and I help boost her confidence! Mom says she is "disabled" and goes to a "special vet".... Im not sure why she doesn't come to ESVH! I LOVE it here!

I don't mind going with her - they always give us frozen kong treats and I get to hang out or run around and play - and afterwards we always go to the beach!

Cherry has only had 2 legs ever since she came home as a teeny puppy.... so mom said that Cherry needs something called "prosthetics" which I think is just another word for legs! I will need to look it up!

Speaking of looking it up, the last time I tried to google something my mom said I got a LOT of weird results. It was really confusing and mom said that some of the things I found could even be dangerous!

That's why I made sure to put a reliable search on the hospital webpage! Now when I want to learn about something happening with one of my new friends in the hospital, I know I can look it up and get RELIABLE results! It makes me feel better knowing that what I search on the ESVH webpage is all backed by the Veterinary Information Network!

Oona here!
Long time, no post - but time flies when you're having fun!

As you can see, we have been working so hard I am EXHAUSTED! I am meeting all kinds of new friends! That handsome guy in the black harness is Kylo. He is as sweet as he is buff! His mom is one of our AMAZING techs, Lexi! She rescued him from the streets. They are both so lucky - he is as cool and as sweet as she is! They were meant to be!

I also got to meet our neighbors! BURROUGH & SONS AUTOMOTIVE, INC. They must have just as much fun as we do because they were all smiles when I walked in! They also have such a nice relaxing lobby - I hunkered down immediately and just enjoyed the atmosphere! I am definitely going to head over next time mom mentions that the "moving room" she puts me is making a funny noise!

Speaking of friends and smiles - look at THESE guys! The Valaris family came in for check ups - cats are not always my favorite... HOEVER, Cat Taco (pictured here) gets an official "almost dog" award from me! He and his kid companion were so fun! While we normally recommend that kitties come in boxes (mom calls them "carriers"?) , we can make an exception from time to time - especially for a cat this cool!

Hospital updates - We have a third doctor on Fridays now! Dr. Claxton will be joining us temporarily on Fridays (and permanently on other days of the week once we open weekends!). Dr. Claxton is a fun guy and has THREE frenchies! (they are a wild bunch!)

This is Koa - and he needs a family to spend his golden years with!

Koa's owner passed away very suddenly last May. Koa's human sister took him in immediately, unfortunately the resident dog in the home won't accept Koa as a member of the family. They have been working for over a year to try and get them to adjust to each other, used trainers and multiple techniques but nothing has been successful. They have had to make the heart breaking desicion to find a new home for this gentle giant.

Koa does well with other dogs when introduced properly but is not great with cats. He is 7 years old, neutered and current on vaccines. He is a sweet boy who would love nothing more than snuggling on the couch!

Happy Saturday!

Oona here! Can you believe they made me come in on a SATURDAY!?

They also told me that I will have to get used to it because it is important to be available for everyone - which means we will be soon be here 7 days a week! Pretty exciting to think there will be even more days that I can hang out with all my new favorite friends!

I promise to let you know when we be open for weekend appointments. (hint... it will be VERY soon!)

In other news - I have been spending a lot of time at my desk and meeting so many new friends. They brought this little fuzzy thing in to visit.... it was so cute! I am going to have to share more photos of my new friends later!
