β˜€οΈπŸΎ Dog Days of Summer : Meet E J πŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Meet E J ! A little bit shy, a little bit silly and a whole lot of cute - EJ is all that and then some!
EJ is a handsome 10 month-old Alaskan Husky / German Shepherd mix who is on the lookout for someone to call his best friend.

While he may be reserved when you first meet him; do not let that fool you; underneath that façade is a giant goof ball waiting to be released, he just needs the right people to help him out. Not only is EJ very sweet, his unique appearance makes it hard to look away.

EJ hasn't picked up on any tricks quite yet, but his love for high value treats will make training fun and a great bonding experience for both human and pup.

It is important to note that EJ is still a puppy, he will need a lot of consistent training, structure, positive reinforcement, and patience to shape him into the furry friend of your dreams.

If you're ready to open your home and heart to this young man then you'll be rewarded with a love and friendship that will never waver.

Ready to meet E J ? Stop by the Jackson County Animal Shelter today!

β˜€οΈπŸΎ Dog Days of Summer : Meet TACOπŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Meet TACO - a 1-year-old, 57 lbs. bundle of energy and charm, ready to spice up your life! This spirited pup is looking for an active, committed adopter who can keep up with his playful personality and support his continued growth.

Taco thrives with daily exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent training. He's already showing off his smarts - he knows how to 'sit' and 'shake', and he's eager to learn more with the right guidance to continue to shine.

Still puppy-like in spirit, Taco is full of enthusiasm and joy. He enjoys playing with both male and female dogs and would love a home where playtime and adventure are part of his daily routine.

Taco is best suited for an adoptive home who understands the needs of an energetic, intelligent dog and is ready to provide a life full of activity, love, and structure. In return, you'll get a loyal, fun-loving best friend who's always ready for the next adventure with you!

Taco would love to meet any canine siblings he will be living with prior to adoption.

Taco is ready to help you make every night Taco night!

Ready to meet Taco? Stop by the Jackson County Animal Shelter today!

β˜€οΈπŸΎ Dog Days of Summer : Meet MINNIE πŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Meet MINNIE, a petite 1-year, 10-month-old, 55 lbs. Labrador / Pit mix who embodies her name only in stature. Practically pint-sized, she more than makes up for her small frame with endless amounts of love to give!

While she may be timid upon first meeting, Minnie turns into a burst of wiggles and paw offerings as soon as she's comfortable, and loves to show off how much she knows at the promise of a tasty treat.

A true master of her craft, she's already nailed how to 'sit', 'shake', 'lie down', AND 'roll over', proving she's a quick learner who can pick up any trick under the sun with a little training. Plus, training sessions will double as bonding time and trust-building with her new family!

Minnie has shown she has a playful side here at the shelter, so once she wiggles out of her shell at home, you can look forward to a lively companion who's always up for a walk or a game of fetch. An adoptive home that can provide her with regular exercise and playtime is ideal.

While her compatibility with cats is unknown, she's open to meeting any other canine friends prior to adoption to ensure everyone gets along.

If you've been in need of a little confidence boost lately, Minnie has too, and she can't wait to become your best friend as you bring out the best in each other!

Because Minnie has been in our care for over 75 days, her ADOPTION FEES ARE WAIVED! (Please note: licensing fees apply for Jackson County residents).

β˜€οΈπŸΎ Dog Days of Summer : Meet STARKπŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Looking for a four-legged friend whose always up for fun? Meet STARK!
Stark is a 1-year, 11-month-old Boxer / Pit Bull mix who is an intelligent pup with a big personality and energy to spare! Whether it's going for long walks or chasing his canine friends in the play yard, Stark approaches life with unstoppable enthusiasm and confidence.

Playtime with Stark is never boring - Stark can be a bit extra when he is excited and may come off as a little obnoxious to more low-key pups. Because of this, Stark would thrive as an only dog in the household OR with a sibling who is tolerant of playful behavior.

Walks are a favorite pastime, and Stark can even help with directions as he can grab the leash mid-walk and hold it in place. Stark would be best suited with a confident and experienced dog parent to help refine his leash manners. With the right guidance and continued positive reinforcement, Stark is eager to continue his learning and let his new skills shine.

If you're looking for a smart and spunky companion who brings a little chaos and a lot of love, it may be clear just how stark your life was before meeting STARK!

Ready to meet Stark? Stop by the Jackson County Animal Shelter today!

Because Stark has been in our care for over 75 days, his ADOPTION FEES ARE WAIVED! (Please note: Licensing fees apply for all Jackson County Residents).

β˜€οΈπŸΎ Dog Days of Summer : Meet ZANDER πŸΎβ˜€οΈ

Meet ZANDER, a handsome and distinguished 5-year-old, 67 lbs. German Shepherd Mix. Zander has a steady, medium energy level and a gentle presence. He enjoys daily walks and playtime, but also appreciates quiet moments to relax by your side. He will do best in a home without small children, or with older, dog-savvy children.

Zander would benefit from an adopter who takes the time to research his breed traits and commit to basic training. He already knows 'sit', and 'shake' and walks well on a leash. Continued training will help Zander build confidence and thrive in his new home.

Zander has shown his social skills with both male and female dogs in our Doggy Play Group. We recommend a Meet-and-Greet between any dogs in the home prior to Adoption.

With a little guidance and consistency, Zander is ready to become a loyal and easygoing companion.

Ready to meet Zander? Stop by the Jackson County Animal Shelter today!
