Sharing from a good friend and fellow Chihuahua breeder! Christin and I have had several conversations about this dog and I think there is quite a bit of potential as a sport prospect. Hensley is 1 year old and has passed her health testing, but is too high energy and drivey for what her breeder is wanting for her program. She is also more of a one person dog rather than a social butterfly.

More news!

First, I have 3 more litters planned for this year. I am breeding Thestral to Ducky throughout this week. In the fall, I plan to repeat the Styx and Gus pairing (she did not take last heat cycle) and will be breeding Biddy to Ducky for her second and final litter. Biddy is one of my fiancé’s beloved girls so she gets two litters and then will be spayed and stay here as a pet.

Second, Harpy and Styx will be looking for retirement homes after they are spayed and have dentals done. Kacey has also been on the back burner but I have finally scheduled her dental and she will also be looking for a home in the near future. This is a great opportunity for those who may not want to deal with puppy shenanigans. Feel free to reach out with any interest!

Third, I am in a health testing/uploading frenzy. Some of the forms have been sitting since end of last year, some just needed a vet that isn’t me to officially evaluate. Gus, Ty, and Thestral have all of their testing submitted at this point. Kitty, Ducky, Biddy, and Styx are going in for eye exams tomorrow (recheck for Biddy and Styx). I will add CHIC numbers to the photo albums as I receive them.

Like Alice mentioned in her previous post yesterday I’ll be attempting to help with the Odyssey kennels social media. I am by no means a professional and am just enjoying helping a friend. Alice will still be over answering private messages but you may see me pop on there letting you know she has been reminded to respond 🤣.

With that being said. Hello y’all. My name is Jill and I’ve been friends with Alice for about 4.5 years now. I live and work in Starkville, MS at the MSSTATE CVM. I currently own a retired breeder now pet Australian shepherd Delilah and my sport/confo dog Ivy the Dalmatian. The Dalmatian is in a menagerie of sports and we will try just about anything once! There’s also a Shetland pony named Darby and more animals but I won’t bore you with those.

Updates:
You may notice some construction on my page in the near future! I’ve added photo albums of the program dogs for convenience. Some of the photos are placeholders as not all of my dogs enjoy show and trial environments and thus I am in the process of getting higher quality photos.

I’ve also recruited my friend Jill to help me stay on top of this page. I just have way too much on my plate and dropped the ball on responding to messages, litter updates, and achievement posts recently. She is currently at an agility trial but I have asked her to introduce herself when she has a chance.
