🐮 Don’t Feed Livestock That Isn’t Yours!

You might see a cow in a field and want to stop for a photo, and that’s perfectly fine.
Feeding the cows or entering private property is not. Livestock are on carefully managed diets, and even small snacks like bread or fruit can make them sick and create safety risks.

🚨 Reminder: Entering private property to feed animals is trespassing, which is a crime. If it’s not your cow, don’t feed it and don’t enter private property.

Equestrians are encouraged to support this year’s Strangles Awareness Week (SAW), with more than 100 cases of strangles reported in 2026 so far.

SAW takes place between 4 and 10 May and aims to get horse owners and yard managers working together to minimise the scale and impact of an outbreak, which can be financially and emotionally costly.

Fly season is officially HERE… and the flies have chosen violence. 🪰😤
If your horse is: • head tossing • stomping like they’re auditioning for Riverdance • rubbing their face on everything except the approved scratching post • or giving you the “please help me, human” eyes
…it’s probably time to break out the fly gear.
Fly masks protect sensitive eyes from irritation and infection. Fly sheets help prevent bites, stress, and skin reactions. And let’s be honest, a comfortable horse is a much happier partner to handle and ride. 🐴✨
Think of fly gear like sunscreen for horses. You can skip it… but everyone’s going to regret that decision later.
If your barn crew is already battling the annual Fly Uprising of 2026 and your horse’s gear needs cleaning, adjusting, or help getting sorted into their summer setup, I’ve got you covered. I’m happy to help make sure everyone stay comfortable, protected, and less dramatic about bugs this season!
Your horse will thank you. Probably by not trying to climb into your lap. 😄 let me know if you need an extra pair of hands putting fly gear on 30+ horses this season 😁

🚨 ATTENTION HORSE PEOPLE 🚨
Is your barn currently being held together by cobwebs, hay strings, and emotional support buckets from 2007?
Are your sliding doors screaming louder than your joints after winter chores?
Did your horses grow an entire second horse out of shedding hair and mud?
GOOD NEWS.
I am now offering Spring Barn Glow-Ups and yes… your farm is eligible for a rescue mission.
Services include but are absolutely not limited to:
🧹 Cobweb eviction (they didn’t pay rent anyway)
🐴 Grooming out enough winter coat to knit a replacement horse
🚪 Digging out stuck barn doors like an archaeologist with better boots
🛠 Lubricating rollers so your doors stop sounding like haunted house props
🪵 Fence fixes before your animals start their freedom tour
🪰 Fly trap deployment (strategic warfare)
💧 Swapping winter water tubs for summer setups
🏇 Exercising horses — English or Western walk/trot rides available
🍽 Feeding help & stall cleaning
🚜 Basic equipment TLC (cleaning, gassing up, mud removal therapy sessions)
🐐 ALSO accepting goat & cow barns because I am equal-opportunity livestock support
Translation:
If it lives in a barn, sticks to a barn, squeaks inside a barn, or judges you from inside a barn… I can help.
I show up with a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a suspicious amount of enthusiasm for dusty corners.
Your animals will be happier.
Your barn will breathe again.
And you might even find tools you forgot you owned.
Message me if your farm could use a spring reset and a cheerful extra set of hands before fly season declares war 🌱🐴

📣 Important Service Update for All Clients

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with an important update regarding my chore and care services for the foreseeable future.

Due to the recent EHV (Equine Herpesvirus) outbreak in our region, I will be limiting all of my in-person services to Healing Rein Farm only until further notice. For those who may not be familiar with it, EHV is an extremely contagious equine virus that can spread through direct horse-to-horse contact, contaminated surfaces, equipment, clothing, footwear, hands, and even the air in certain situations. Once it’s on a farm, it can move quickly—and the consequences can be severe.

Because of the rapid transmission rate and the responsibility I carry moving from property to property, I must take maximum biosecurity precautions to avoid any risk of carrying the virus between farms. This includes:

Limiting all physical farm visits to a single location

Avoiding cross-contact between horses, equipment, vehicles, clothing, and feed sources

Following enhanced sanitization protocols before entering and upon leaving siad property.

Using dedicated footwear, clothing, and tools that will not be transported anywhere else

Adhering strictly to all recommended EHV control guidelines issued by veterinarians and state officials

This decision is not made lightly. I know many of you depend on my help, and I value the trust you place in me with your animals. However, my top priority must always be protecting the health and safety of every horse under my care—including yours. During an outbreak, the smallest lapse can carry serious consequences, and I will never risk being the unintentional link that spreads infection.

I will continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep everyone updated as conditions change. Once it is safe to resume traveling between farms, I will notify all clients immediately.

Thank you all for understanding, for being proactive, and for your commitment to the well-being of your animals. If you have any questions about EHV, biosecurity, or what this means for your scheduling going forward, please feel free to reach out.

Stay safe, keep vigilant, and give your horses an extra hug and kiss for me. 💛🐴
