Eleanor went to her forever home today and we couldn't be happier for her and her new mom. Hi guys, I would like to clarify something. We NEVER do same day adoptions. You MUST fill out an application online to get approved. You must pass background checks, provide your current cats' or dogs' vaccination records, undergo a landlord check, and participate in a Zoom meeting. Once you are approved, you can sign an agreement and pay the adoption fee online. Then, you can pick up any cat(s) or kitten(s) you like. Kittens must be adopted in pairs, unless you have a cat at home, in which case you may adopt only one kitten. Sorry for the confusion. The reason why do rescues make it seem hard to adopt? Most of the time, friendly cats found on the street were microchipped, and when the rescue called the owner, they didn't want the cat anymore. So, the cat must go through everything again, including flea treatment, deworming, combo testing, and all vaccines. It's hard for a single cat after what they've been through. That's why we don't do same day adoptions and never will. I hope everyone understands. The cats are like babies to us. Thanks again for understanding...

What's meant to be is meant to be. Another failed adoption day for Copper. An adopter put in an application to adopt two cats, but they ended up going home with only one cat. We are still very thankful, even though people decided to adopt only one, which is why Copper is still here at Whiskers. Copper is a super friendly, playful, affectionate, cuddly, curious, funny little boy who likes to explore. He will make someone's home very very happy. 😻😻😻

Sir Charles was found in Grays Ferry wandering around on a cold and windy day, trying to find food and shelter. Luckily, a very nice lady found him and took him to PetSmart to check if he was microchipped, but he was not. The lady then asked the neighbors if anyone would claim Sir Charles, but no one did. Long story short, the lady called Whiskers and asked if we could take this cat in, and Annie from Here Kitty Kitty Rescue decided to take him in and make extra room for Sir Charles because of his sweet personality. Sir Charles gets along with everyone, cats, dogs, and kids, and he would love to go home with you. 😻😻😻

Yesterday, Sir Charles was supposed to be adopted, but the lady emailed our rescue partner and said she changed her mind. 💔💔💔 Even so, Sir Charles is still very happy and shows us his belly, which means he trusts us!💖💖💖 Whenever people choose to adopt, they are not only helping the cat they adopted, but also making an extra room for cat rescue to rescue one more cat. By adopting a cat, the adoption fee money will help the rescue cover the cat's medical bills, food, litter, and also help more friendly cats on the streets of Philly. 😸😸😸
