Alfredo came in to see Dr Wintergrass for a recheck of her immune condition and to see how she’s doing on her meds—wearing her Christmas sweater like a champ. 🎄

The good news: her bloodwork looks great, and she’s feeling really well. Chronic illness isn’t slowing this holiday queen down. ❤️💚

Our first official snow day is a winter wonderland ❄️🐾
Here are a few quick tips to keep our companions safe:
• Wash and dry paws after walks - ice melt hurts!
• Keep cats safely indoors
• Enjoy playtime in the snow, but keep it short - it’s cold!
• Antifreeze is toxic, please keep it well sealed and away from your animals
• If you see an animal in need outside, if you can’t help yourself, please report to ACCT call 267-385-3800 press 1

Today is a very special day! It’s Dr Newth’s birthday ❤️ please join us in wishing her the very best. We are so lucky to spend our days with her. Beyond being a phenomenal, compassionate Dr, she is incredibly creative, can make just about anything you can think of and will make you laugh while doing it. She has a green thumb that will wow you. Help!!!! A Good Samaritan found me outside and brought me here for treatment. Im ok, a little sore, but I really want to get back to my family. Please call the nice people here at Fishtown Animal Hospital and they will connect you with my finder ❤️ 215-834-6993. They gave me snacks and lots of love so I wasn’t scared

Just a reminder, we are closed until Tuesday 8/26 at 9 am. Next week we have shortened hours due to continuing education for our team and the upcoming holiday. We will be closed on Monday 8/25, Thursday 8/28 and then from Fri 8/29 at 5 pm through Tuesday 9/2 at 9 am. look forward to returning refreshed and renewed with more knowledge on providing the best care for your family ❤️

Odette is Awesome!

Meet beautiful tuxedo Odette up for adoption (also available to foster) at Fishtails Animal Rescue (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)! Odette found herself at ACCT Philly as an owner surrender and was at risk for euthanasia due to her being diabetic.

Fishtails pulled her and she's taken up residence at Fishtown Animal hospital and cared for by the hospital's awesome staff. She spent some time with awesome foster Sarah and is now ready for her forever home!

Odette is a total love bug--she loves to be petted and will follow you from room to room. Wherever her human is is where she wants to be. She can't resist a warm sunbeam on the floor and never tires of affection. She is ready to live her golden years in the lap of luxury (literally, she loves a lap!)

While in foster care, Odette lived with one dog and two cats. She got along famously with the resident dog and does well with cats as well with proper introductions. She would also do well as an only pet.

Odette's family will need to treat her diabetes daily. Fishtails can provide interested adopters detailed information on her needed care.

We are so happy this sweet girl is safe and has a chance to find her forever home! Could that be with you?
