Trying to see the positives in this and the bright sides. Had our recheck today everything‘s looking good, but we’re still another week out. That will put us at a full month of crate rest. I know this is the finish line and I know we’re so close but a week feels like an eternity. I’m definitely worried for her mental health but as of right now we’re doing okay.

Right as Yue got hurt, our odors came in… such a high moment, followed by having to put everything on pause. That part was tough.

But we’re in the final stretch now—last 3–4 days of crate rest and we’re about to take off again. I can’t wait to get back to work and dive back in 🔥💜🌙💣

These sessions are great for working through obedience, puppy training, behavior issues, or just getting a clear training plan for your dog.

It’s a very special dog’s 5th birthday today. 🎉

I’ve been training TT (Daytona) since she was just a tiny 8-week-old puppy, starting her service dog training journey.

It’s actually pretty rare to work with a dog so consistently for that long through their life. Aside from Nala, TT was the first service dog I ever trained.

Over the years, and I became good friends, and we’ve stayed close and I got to watch TT grow into the big, badass girl she is today.

I miss you both. Happy birthday, TT. 🐾

Piggybacking off my story — the current state of affairs puts even more into perspective the career path I’ve chosen for us. Threats have always been present, but lately it feels even more real.

From day one, I’ve taken this training seriously. I study hard. I read, listen, watch, ask questions, and train day in and day out. We are training to keep people safe, and that’s not something to take lightly.

Our odors have arrived and it’s time to get deep into the work.

But to her? We’re just sniffing some things and getting rewarded. 🌙💣
