When I was younger I always wanted to be a teacher. Then I wanted to be a pharmacist. When we were starting a family I wanted to be a stay at home mom (thankfully I got to be just that for several years!)
I never said anything related to taking care of animals. Not because I don’t love them, I just had other plans, or so I thought.😁
But looking back, I should have known that’s exactly what I wanted to do and every time these two visit I am reminded of that.
When I was younger I would always go play with the neighbors dogs and walk them around our neighborhood. Thankfully our closest neighbors always had dogs. Dogs followed me home from school or the bus stop, all of the time!
Stella and Bo’s dad used to live next to us when I was growing up and of course he had a dog. That was pretty much a requirement for our neighbors 😂😂When they came here for the first time I had no clue it was him. I was telling my mom who was picking up one day and she was like “he used to be our neighbor”.
How crazy is it that as an adult I get to take care of his dogs!?!?
I absolutely love what I get to do for a living! Yes, it’s absolutely exhausting, but it’s so rewarding. I love spending time with everyone’s dogs (and cats) and watching them become comfortable here and enjoy their time at Pawkamp.
