The two Cowboys had their best lesson yet. One on a horse he’s never ridden and one confident to play follow the leader and go over the poles without me! Such a sense of accomplishment for these two today. I’m so proud!!!

A Special Update About Our Sweet Jules-
Today I took Jules to the vet after noticing he was reluctant to pick up his right lead—something very unlike him. Jules is one of those horses who always gives you his all, so I knew something wasn’t right. I’m so glad I followed that instinct.

The vet confirmed that Jules has some sore muscles in his back, likely from saddles that haven’t been fitting him quite right as we switch between different sizes for our riders. He’ll need about two months of rest to fully heal.

This is a good reminder of how important properly fitting tack is, especially for a horse like Jules who gives so much to our therapeutic riding program. He is incredibly loved by all of us and by the many riders he supports.

As he rests and heals, we’re now on the hunt for a new saddle that fits him properly—ideally a flex tree, which will move with him and offer better support. These saddles don’t come cheap, and neither did today’s vet visit.

If you’re in a position to help, we would be so grateful for any donations toward Jules’ vet care and his new saddle. Every bit helps us ensure this special boy comes back feeling better than ever.
