π Rescue Doesn't Stop After We Save Them π
One of the hardest parts of rescue is that pulling a dog from a shelter is often just the beginning.
Right now, we have several dogs in our care with ongoing medical and behavioral needs, and the costs add up quickly.
πΎ Nessa was recently rescued from Antioch Animal Services and is already receiving treatment for a painful chemical burn in her eye.
πΎ Pino continues to need specialized training to help him become the best dog he can be. We are hoping to raise funds to get him into a board-and-train program that will give him the structure and support he needs to succeed.
πΎ Blossom recently had a full veterinary workup after showing signs that looked very much like pregnancy. Because she was extremely fearful, we had to carefully prepare her for her appointment with anti-anxiety medication. Thankfully, the vet confirmed she is not pregnant, but she still needed exams, testing, vaccinations, and medications. Every dollar donated toward her "pregnancy care" has gone directly toward the medical care she needed.
πΎ And just this week, we rescued six puppies from Kern County Animal Services. Before they can find their forever homes, they will need vaccinations, veterinary care, food, supplies, and eventually spay/neuter surgeries.
These are just a few of the dogs currently relying on us.
Every dog that comes through our rescue needs food, vaccinations, preventatives, veterinary care, transportation, training, and supplies. Some need extensive medical care. Others need behavioral support. All of them need time, patience, and love.
We do this because every dog deserves a chance. A chance to heal. A chance to feel safe. A chance to be loved.
If you'd like to help us continue saying "yes" to dogs like Nessa, Pino, Blossom, and these six puppies, please consider making a donation.
