And somehow, this beautiful 3-year-old coated Xoloitzcuintli mix is still waiting for her forever family.

One of the world’s oldest and rarest dog breeds, with a history dating back more than 3,000 years. Known for their intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and deep devotion to their people, Xolos are truly one of a kind. And Sheila carries those remarkable qualities with her every day. 💛

But Sheila is more than her rare and beautiful heritage.

She is affectionate, intelligent, curious, athletic, loyal, and wonderfully goofy. She loves exploring new places, going on walks and hikes, and then curling up beside her favorite person for some well-earned cuddles.

Sheila’s journey hasn’t been easy. After losing her beloved owner, she and her companion C**t were surrendered by family. Her entire world changed, but her ability to love never did. 💔

Today, Sheila is still waiting for someone who will give her the stability, companionship, and unconditional love she deserves.

She is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, vaccinated, and continuing to make wonderful progress with her recall and leash skills. She adores children, especially girls, and enjoys being around other dogs. She would thrive with a family ready to provide exercise, enrichment, structure, and lots of love.

And yes… she may even “sing” to you! Her adorable vocalizations are just one of the many things that make this rare girl so unforgettable. 🎶

A Little Girl With a Whole Lot of Love to Give ☕

At just 16 weeks old, Latte is at such a precious stage of life. She’s curious, affectionate, gentle, and ready to find the family who will help her grow into the wonderful dog!

Latte is a sweet Border Collie and Terrier mix with the most lovable personality. She adores being close to her people, loves giving kisses, and has a way of making everyone around her smile. Whether she’s following you around, cuddling up beside you, or happily wagging her little tail when you call her, Latte simply loves being part of your world. 🥰

This little girl is already crate trained and responsive when called, and she gets along wonderfully with children, dogs, and cats. She’s friendly, smart, and eager to keep learning as she grows. At around 16 weeks old, she’s expected to grow into a medium-sized companion, making her a wonderful addition to a family ready for puppyhood and all the adventures that come with it.

We are absolutely amazed and incredibly grateful for the kindness and creativity of Lia and Kate, who put together an amazing bake sale filled with delicious homemade desserts to support Roxy’s Ranch Haven! 🍪

What makes this even more special is that 100% of the purchases were donated to help our rescue pups. Every cookie, cupcake, and sweet treat purchased turned into love and support for pups who need it most. 🐶

Lia and Kate, thank you for thinking of our rescue and for using your creativity and generosity to make such a meaningful difference. Your thoughtfulness means more than you know. 🐾

She Loved People Even After Everything She’d Been Through. Now Nessa Just Needs Someone to Love Her Back. 💛

Her past never took away her ability to trust, love, and hope. 🥺

From the moment Nessa arrived, she showed us that she loves being around people. She settles into a home beautifully, stays close to her humans, and has the gentle, affectionate personality of a dog who once knew what it felt like to belong to a family.

And somehow, after everything, she still chooses love.

Nessa is a medium-sized female Pit Bull Terrier who is house-trained, spayed, vaccinated, and good with other dogs. Her compatibility with children and cats is currently unknown. Eden Has Been Waiting for Someone to Choose Her. Could It Be You? 🥹

Imagine spending almost a year waiting for someone to see you, not as a shelter dog, not as a number, but as a dog worthy of being loved.

That was Eden’s reality.

This beautiful young German Shepherd mix came heartbreakingly close to losing her life four different times. Not because she did anything wrong, but because she kept getting overlooked. Four times, she waited. Four times, she was given another day to hope that someone would finally choose her.

And then, thankfully, Eden’s story changed.

She came to Roxy’s Ranch Haven and was given something she desperately needed: time.

Rather than rushing her into a home, Eden spent several weeks working with a professional trainer. Slowly, patiently, she learned that the world could be a safe place. She built confidence, learned structure, and began to discover just how amazing she truly is.

And look at her now. 🥹

Eden is smart, affectionate, eager to learn, and happiest when she’s with her people. She knows loose-leash walking, sit, leash engagement, beginning recall, and more. She’s crate-trained, house-trained, and spayed.

She also loves other dogs and enjoys making new friends. Eden would do best in a home without cats or pet birds, where she can continue building on everything she has learned.

And her future family won’t have to figure it all out alone. Her adoption includes the opportunity to continue training with the wonderful team in Sebastopol who already know Eden and are invested in helping her succeed. 💛

There’s nothing better than seeing a rescue dog safe, loved, and completely at home.

We recently received these sweet photos and updates from Roy’s forever family, and they absolutely made our day!

His family shared that he’s not a fan of fireworks, but we’re so happy to see him out enjoying adventures with the people he loves.

Roy’s story didn’t start this way. He was once abandoned and left to survive on his own. Today, this gentle, loyal, and incredibly smart boy has something he always deserved, a family of his own.

We’re so grateful to Roy’s forever family for sharing these moments with us. Getting updates like these reminds us why rescue matters. 🥹

An Update on Tyr 🐾

Tyr recently had a full veterinary exam, had his sutures removed, received another round of antibiotics, and was tested for heartworm. His vaccinations have also been brought up to date, and he’s starting anxiety medication to help keep him comfortable.

Most importantly, his foot is looking much better! 🥹

He’ll need another round of antibiotics and continued care as he heals.

We know so many of you have followed Tyr’s journey, supported his care, and sent him love and well wishes. Thank you. Your support has meant so much to Tyr and to everyone at Roxy’s Ranch Haven. 💛

He still has some healing to do, but we’re so grateful to see this sweet boy moving in the right direction.
