To me, natural horsemanship means a focus on relationship, communication, feel, and fairness. It means you develop a relationship with the horse. You open up to two-way communication, and you’re always learning how to be as much like a horse as possible. When you have that feel, that fairness, that balance, it’s simply beautiful. It’s a lifestyle, not a series of techniques or tricks. Basically, it’s good horsemanship, whether you call it natural or something else. ~ Erin Murphy, owner, Equine Partners, Inc.
