Keep your furry friend safe while enjoying the outdoors this summer.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection that spreads from wild animals to people and pets. While leptospirosis can be treated, it can cause severe or fatal illness.
How it spreads
Rats, raccoon and other wild animals carry the leptospira bacteria. Infected animals shed the bacteria in their urine, contaminating soil and water.
The leptospirosis vaccine is recommended yearly for all dogs to maintain the best immunity.
Protect your pets from fleas, ticks and heartworm by keeping them on a monthly preventative.
Check the status of your Rabies vaccine to make sure your pet is protected.
