Celebrate the DOG DAYS OF AUGUST at My Sister's Books!

Come into the bookstore through early September and take a gander at our ginormous jar of chocolate candies. If you think you know how many are in the jar and would like to support All 4 Paws – fill out a ballot for $4 giving us your 411 & your best guess.
All 4 Paws will receive all the funds, but the winner (will get all the candy, plus some other dandy stuff. Winner will be the first drawn ticket with the correct answer (or closest guess.) And PLEASE remember: Chocolate is B-A-D for pets, but the rescue needs our financial support to continue its amazing mission.
They are also collecting new supplies for the rescue! Leashes, martingale collars, kitten and puppy food, training pads, seat belts, and TOYS for our furry friends.

All4Paws Staff Spotlight! 📣 Meet Kim!

🐱 Kim recently joined All4Paws as a Cat Caretaker. We took a moment to learn more about this kindhearted addition to the All4Paws team.

Where did you grow up? "Johnstown Pennsylvania. I then lived in Pittsburgh Pa for 14 years before moving down to Myrtle Beach."

How long have you been with All 4 Paws? "I started volunteering in April 2025 and became a staff member in July of 2025."

What do your job duties entail? "My role includes caring for all of the cats and kittens at the shelter by providing fresh food, clean water, litter, and a cozy place for them to sleep and play. I administer medications and give extra attention to those with medical needs, ensuring every cat feels safe, comfortable, and loved."

What do you find most rewarding working at A4P? "The most rewarding part of my job is hearing the soft purrs of cats as they soak up love, attention, and endless pets. Seeing their eyes light up and their tails perk when they recognize me fills my heart and puts the biggest smile on my face."

What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at A4P? "Every day has is own unique challenges - 💔 One of the toughest challenges is seeing animals come in after difficult experiences. It’s never easy, but being part of their healing journey and watching them grow into their personalities makes every challenge worth it."

What’s your secret talent? "I am known for my random facts. I am an encyclopedia of various topics."

Favorite holiday? "Halloween!" 🎃

How would your best friends describe you? "Compassionate, dependable, funny, quirky, and maybe a bit crazy in a good way."

Stay at home or go out? "I am totally a homebody. Although walks on the beach in the evening get my blood flowing!"

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? "I enjoy nature photography, birds of prey are my favorite to photograph." 🦅

🍔 Favorite fast food? "I recently discovered The Cookout and can’t get enough of it!"

If you could go anywhere in the world, what place would you most want to travel to? 🌏 "I would love to go to Egypt to see the pyramids. I have always had a fascination with that time period and would to engulf myself in the culture."

If you won a million dollars, what would you buy? "An A-Frame cabin in the woods and a smaller A-Frame cabin for foster kittens and cats!"

🐾 What should people know about All 4 Paws? "Every single person that either works or volunteers at the shelter is the most compassionate person I’ve ever encountered. It’s such a blessing to be surrounded by such a great group of caring individuals that pour their heart into every animal to make sure they feel loved." ❤
