🎃👻 Keep Your Pets Safe This Halloween! 🐾

Halloween can be full of spooky fun, but a few extra precautions can help keep your pets safe!

🐾 Keep candy out of reach: Chocolate and sugar-free treats containing xylitol can be toxic to pets.

🐾 Choose costumes carefully: Make sure your pet’s costume fits comfortably and doesn’t restrict their movement, breathing, or vision.

🐾 Be mindful of decorations: Keep electrical cords, candles, batteries, glow sticks, and small decorations out of curious paws’ reach.

🐾 Make sure ID tags are up to date: In case your pet slips out during the Halloween excitement, proper identification can help them find their way home.

Warrior Wednesday: Sydney! 💛🐾

Sydney, one of Dr. Bailey’s patients, just completed her CHOP protocol for the SECOND time! 🎉 She was initially diagnosed with lymphoma in February 2025 and completed her first protocol in September 2025. After coming out of remission in March 2026, she bravely started treatment again and officially finished her second CHOP protocol.

Sydney is the sweetest girl, and we are so happy to celebrate this incredible milestone with her. We’re wishing Sydney all the best as she continues on her journey! 🐶✨

Celebrating Our Doctors! ❤️🐾

Today, as part of Staff Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating our incredible doctors who dedicate their lives to caring for animals and the families who love them.

Being a veterinarian is so much more than diagnosing illnesses and providing treatment. It takes compassion, patience, dedication, and a genuine love for animals. From celebrating milestones and helping pets through challenging diagnoses to being there for families during some of their most difficult moments, our doctors make a lasting difference every day. Their commitment to providing exceptional care and advocating for every patient is at the heart of what they do.

As National Veterinary Technician Week is coming to a close, we also want to recognize the amazing technicians who work alongside our doctors. From assisting with procedures and monitoring patients to providing comfort and hands-on care, their knowledge, dedication, and compassion are essential to the care we provide.

To our doctors and veterinary technicians, thank you for the countless hours, compassion, and dedication you give to our patients and their families. We’re incredibly grateful for everything you do and proud to have you as part of the OAH team! 🐾❤️

Our satellite clinics provide primary veterinary care, wellness visits, preventive medicine, and routine services to help pets stay healthy at every stage of life. Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 🐾❤️

This week, we’re celebrating our entire nursing department, including our veterinary technicians, assistants, liaisons, ward aides, patient care coordinators, pod techs, and ERPAs across all departments.

From admission to discharge, our nursing team is there for our patients through every step of their journey. They’re the ones monitoring the smallest changes, anticipating what a patient needs, carrying out critical treatments, comforting frightened animals, and making sure no detail goes unnoticed. They bring together knowledge, technical skill, quick thinking, and compassion in ways that make an incredible difference in the care our patients receive.

But nursing is about so much more than the tasks they perform. It’s about the extra time spent making a patient comfortable, the patience shown during a difficult moment, the attention given when something doesn’t seem quite right, and the commitment to advocating for patients who can’t tell us what they need. It’s the teamwork behind every successful treatment and the compassion that continues long after a busy shift.
