As the weather is warming up and people are clearing their lots, we are getting daily calls for rattlesnakes. Please make sure you stay aware. If you come across a rattlesnake you can contact our shelter or the Paradise Police Department for Animal Control to remove the animal. If your pet is bitten by a rattlesnake please seek medical attention. VCA Valley Oak in Chico and Look Ahead Vet at the bottom of Clark Rd carry antivenin. You should call ahead before bringing your pet to either location. If a person is bit, they should seek medical attention.

We know summer break is coming up soon and people are looking to go on vacation. Choosing a place to board your dog for a trip is important. Please make sure you contact any facility ahead of time. There are no authorized boarding facilities within the Paradise town limits. Below are boarding locations in the nearby areas.
