Animal adoptions are only available at the Paradise Animal Shelter Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 3pm (Adoptions end at 2:30pm)

Hello Community. Lately the Paradise Animal Shelter has seen an increase in stray animals. In addition, Social Media posts have increased for "Lost and Found" animals. Please remember the Paradise Shelter is a NO KILL Shelter. Residents can surrender an animal they are no longer able to care for due to housing changes, increased costs, death in the family, etc. The animal will be safe and cared for by staff and volunteers until they are adopted. Please do not release the animal in hopes a "new home" will be found. The Shelter is here to help our Community.

Hi. ♥️ I am a very handsome white and black Husky. I'm a 1 year-old, male. I am playful and kind, and enjoy interacting with the volunteers who visit me often. I am really smart too. When a human asks me I can sit, shake, and lay down. I am excited to learn more commands. Oh yeah, and I love to play with toys and can fetch them easily. And I like to walk. Do you? We could walk together. I have my shots and I am neutered. I would love to meet you and see if we could hang out. Had a wonderful turn out for the Paradise Animal Shelter expansion celebration and ribbon cutting. Many community members, along with representatives from the Police Department, Chambers of Commerce and Town Council were present. Folks enjoyed tours of the new facility and renovated dog area. Special thanks to the North Valley Disaster Group (NVDG) for there support.

Raul thinks he is King of the Cat Room. (He is!) This very friendly 2-year-old tuxedo man claims visitors for himself, coming to rub on you and accept your petting while giving stink eye to other cats who want in on the action too. He’s not aggressive, just lets them know that you are his, and he is yours. Raul is very playful, quite the soccer star with toy mice, and enjoys treating you as his royal throne, curling up on your lap to accept your adoration. Come meet Raul and take him home to his new castle. He’s neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, and his adoption fee is only $36. Rascal is a friendly dude! This 7-month-old black and white domestic shorthair will catch your eye through the window of the cat room and meow a hello. He’ll jump down from the cat tree when you walk in, and amble over to check you out. If you sit down, he’ll circle you like a shark, sniff your hand and enjoy a pet, maybe invite himself right into your lap. He’s the kind of kitty that shows you his belly on the first date, and he wants a home! He’s been vaccinated, microchipped and will be neutered before he goes home — his adoption fee is only $36. Dexter is a shy young man who will appreciate a quiet home and a patient person to bond with. He’s a 9-month-old gray and white tabby who isn’t yet sure he can trust people, but he definitely wants a relationship. If you sit down and speak with him, before long he’s making air biscuits and rubbing on whatever he can reach — and then he remembers, “Oh right….people.” He can be drawn out of his wariness with treats and play, and he loves chasing anything on a string. He’s going to blossom, given time. Come meet Dexter and be the human hero this sweet kitty needs. See him at the Paradise Animal Shelter Tuesday through Saturday , 11 am to 3 pm.
