🐶 Meet our San Jose Top Dog for September: Trigger! 🎉

Trigger turns 1 this month—his special day is September 16th! His journey began in King City as a baby stray before finding his forever home through the Silicon Valley Humane Society.

Since joining the Downtown Dogs pack in February, Trigger has been spreading smiles with his sweet, playful energy.

A DNA test revealed he’s a mix of 16 breeds—22% Staffordshire Terrier and 20% Chihuahua—making him truly one-of-a-kind. He’s mastered commands like sit, shake, and high five, though he’s still working on “off” and “leave it” (but kisses and curiosity make it tough!).

At daycare, he loves snuggling with humans, wrestling with friends, and chasing anything that rolls. His latest obsession? Riding in the basket of his parents’ electric scooter through Downtown San Jose—ears flapping, big smile on his face.

Happy Birthday, Trigger! We’re so excited to celebrate you! 🎂🐾

🐾 Meet our Palo Alto Top Dog for September: Gus! 🎉

Gus is 8 years old and has been part of the Downtown Dogs family for a year and a half. He doesn’t come every day, but when he does, it’s all about snuggles and play!

Fun fact: all his littermates were named after the Cinderella mice and just like his namesake, Gus is full of heart. 💛

He knows all the basics sit, down, stay, and “up”. Outside daycare, he’s all about hiking, fetch, sunbathing, and stealing the cat’s toys (and your socks!). 🧦 His favorite things? Orange squeaky toys, and his cow toy!

Gus’s story is one of resilience—he overcame a tough start as a puppy and grew into the sweetest, happiest boy. He even loves to dress up, just say the word and he’s ready to model!

We’re so lucky to have this stylish, sock-stealing sweetheart in our pack. Congrats, Gus! 🐶💫
